Role
Who you are
- Degree in Economics, mathematics, Science, Engineering or similar disciplines preferred, not a must
- Professional problem solver: ability to structure problems, build hypotheses, and find the data needed to solve them. Versatile and comfortable with ambiguity. Prior experience in management consulting, investment banking, or another startup are well suited
- Proven analytical experience with data: you're comfortable manipulating data and using the information to make informed decisions. Proficiency in excel modelling is required. Proficiency in Tableau, Alteryx, or PowerBI is a plus
- Strong understanding of financial and commercial drivers: a commercial mindset and understanding. Prior experience in a commercial roles desired
- Independent and organised: can operate with limited guidance but take initiative to find what's needed and leadership on driving action. Able to prioritise between and manage multiple pieces of work
- Excellent communicator and relationship builder: you're able to structure and share your ideas clearly, and you're experienced in building relationships cross-functionally and at senior levels. Will be working closely with senior team
- Results-driven and can handle pressure in a fast-paced working environment: you're always seeking better ways of doing things and are at ease in high growth environments
- Passionate about tackling the climate challenge. Passion for supply chains is a plus
- Multi-lingual: Fluency in Mandarin is a strong plus
What the job involves
- Commercial partner to Operations & Product team: Provide a commercial lens and lead the commercial analysis required for the onboarding of new products and suppliers onto our platform - from pricing, to market analysis, to cost driver analysis. Key target is optimising the operating margin of our business
- Strategic Commercial Projects: structure, develop and drive key strategic projects requiring commercial analysis. Help shape the growth strategy into clear hypotheses and plans, creating the roadmap to deliver the business goals
- Reporting: Track financials and key operating drivers, as well as progress, blockers and risks of key projects and keep senior stakeholders updated
- Relationship Management: responsible for understanding the pain points and commercial needs of Sourceful, acting as a bridge for knowledge sharing between UK and international offices on Commercial matters
