Role
Who you are
- 2+ years Marketing experience, bonus if in a high growth start up or scale up environment
- Experience using email marketing tools e.g. Mailchimp and CMS Systems e.g. Squarespace is a bonus
- You're passionate and knowledgeable about climate change, sustainability and/or the electric car industry
- Excellent written and communication skills
What the job involves
- Develop a content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets, and develop, own and deliver to a content calendar
- Create assets such as whitepapers, social/blog posts, case studies, webcasts, webinars, email cadences and more
- Work with the Marketing Team and external agencies to improve SEO and SEM for our website and digital platforms
- Support the Marketing Team with optimising our email marketing (inbound and outbound comms) efforts
- Collaborate with sales, marketing and design teams to plan and develop site content, style and layout
- Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic and leads
- Communicate content strategy and results with stakeholders
- Support the Head of Growth with all relevant events and exhibitions we will attend over the year

Our take
New cars and vans powered wholly by petrol and diesel will not be sold in the UK from 2030. Because of this, there is expected to be a huge shift in the market towards electric vehicles. In 2021, hybrid and plug-in electric vehicles accounted for just 18.5% of car registrations, so there is a long way to go.
From 6th April 2020 the UK government introduced huge tax savings for people who lease an electric vehicle through their company. The Electric Car Scheme makes it easy for people to access these tax savings through salary sacrifice, essentially offering the Cycle-to-Work Scheme - but for electric cars.
Anyone looking to lease an electric car can use The Electric Car Scheme to get the tax savings. That’s 20-50% off of the cost of the car lease, which makes it much more attractive than petrol or diesel cars. The Electric Car Scheme has great tailwinds given the shift, and will be moving fast to try and capitalise on it.
