What the job involves
- The Vice President of Operations and People is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company's operations and human resources functions
- The VP will report directly to the CFO and will collaborate closely with the executive team to align operations and people strategies with the company's overall goals and values
- Develop and implement operational strategies and processes to drive efficiency and productivity across all departments
- Map out processes for key activities in the organization to ensure integrity, compliance and productivity
- Monitor and evaluate key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Conduct public company readiness project, and implement project tracks to addressing the deficiencies in our company's operations and governance in preparation for a successful Initial Public Offering (IPO), including internal controls, legal, HR, and technology
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and reduce operational costs
- Develop and execute HR strategies, policies, and procedures to attract, develop, and retain top talent. Lead and mentor HR team members, promoting a positive and inclusive work culture
- Collaborate with department leaders to understand talent needs and provide effective recruitment and talent acquisition strategies
- Develop and oversee employee onboarding, training, and development programs
- Implement a performance management system to enhance individual and team performance
- Manage employee relations, addressing concerns and fostering a supportive work environment
- Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring market competitiveness and internal equity, and manage the process of bringing benefits inhouse from our PEO
- Drive initiatives to build a strong organizational culture that aligns with the company's values and objectives
- Lead change management efforts to support business growth and development
- Foster an environment of continuous learning and development for employees at all levels
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration across the organization
- Identify opportunities to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction
