Who you are
- SentinelOne is seeking results-oriented individuals with a 2+ year track record in closing net new logos in the commercial sector across Northern UK&I. Successful candidates will possess a can-do and professional attitude, have a strong drive to exceed annual sales targets
- Exceptional written and verbal skills in English
- Full understanding of and experience with the English culture
- 2+ years of successful closing experience within a software vendor
- Full understanding of and experience with working within a Channel ecosystem
- Proven track-record of driving continued sales growth within a defined territory
- Cyber Security experience is required, and Endpoint Security, or Cloud Security experience preferred
- Ability to field, qualify & close inbound inquiries from multiple sources
- Ability to prospect and manage C-Level and senior level relationships within organizations
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target driven start-up-like environment
- Exceptional communication skills including listening, writing and public speaking
- Achievement driven & highly competitive self-starter with a strong work ethic
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
What the job involves
- The principal responsibilities for this position are to generate revenue from commercial accounts across Northern UK&I through following up on multiple lead sources, developing new clients, and selling directly into customers while leveraging our channel community
- Run a sophisticated sales process from prospecting to closure
- Partner with our channel team to drive both net-new and recurring revenue
- Partner with field sales counterpart and channel managers to build pipeline and grow the assigned territory
- Become an insider within the Cyber Security Industry and become an expert of SentinelOne products
- Stay well educated and informed about SentinelOne's competitive landscape and how to sell the value of our solutions and services when compared to the relevant competitors in the Next Generation Endpoint market space
- Consistently meet, or exceed sales quotas
- Prepare and provide accurate forecasts to management on a weekly basis
- Office attendance is required twice per week
Our take
Cybercriminals are now leveraging the power of automation to make the current threat landscape too advanced for a lot of legacy antivirus software. SentinelOne is a cybersecurity company that matches this automation, with machine learning-focused software that is built to help businesses battle online attacks.
The company expanded the scope of its business from the endpoint security market to three markets valued at a combined $30 billion, including the corporate endpoint security and IT operations management markets. This gives SentinelOne a bigger potential customer base, although also puts them in direct competition with more focused cybersecurity companies, in addition to its biggest competitor, CrowdStrike.
When the company went public, it made financial headlines as the highest-valued cybersecurity IPO ever, which gave SentinelOne a market cap of $10B, though it's now fallen to around $4B. It has subsequently launched S Ventures, a $100M fund, through which SentinelOne invests in cybersecurity startups and has expanded its partnership with major tax firm KPMG to accelerate cyber investigations and responses to threats.
