Who you are
- 3+ year’s experience in Sales Operations, FP&A, Business Planning and Analytics, in a high growth, fast-paced environment
- Experience administering incentive compensation plans and quota allocation for multiple sales teams
- Demonstrates problem solving, decision-making, and process-improvement skills
- Effective written, visual, and verbal communication skills, highly preferred
- Experience analyzing data/tools/reports to answer sales questions
- Proficient in Excel and similar data analytics tools
- Attention to detail and ability to understand the core operations of sales channels
- 4 Year College Degree required (Math, Finance, English, or Management Information Systems preferred)
- Experience working with Salesforce, Looker, Xactly and Google Suite, highly preferred
What the job involves
- In this role, the Analyst will provide strategic analysis to identify and evaluate trends in the business
- The Analyst will be responsible for building models, reviewing reporting and making recommendations to increase supply and drive overall growth
- Responsibilities will range from strategic (e.g. driving analyses to redesign and optimize our Sales models, recommending on headcount and opex investments) to operational/tactical (e.g. setting goals, driving plan implementation and ensuring effective reporting)
- You will be asked to project manage and work cross-functionally between our sales, marketing, operations, product, and strategy and operations teams to help make our sales organization the most productive in the space
- Drive special projects and provide analytical support to senior Sales leaders
- Oversee Sales piloting and testing
- Manage cross-functional projects with our sales, partner management, operations, product, engineering, business operations and BD teams to improve the merchant experience and achieve targets
- Develop, instrument, and maintain sales Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and support the rhythm of the business through weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting
- Evaluate business performance, diagnose root causes, and prescribe action informed by data-driven insights
- Build models to evaluate the economics, value, and opportunity costs of strategic initiatives intended to multiply rep productivity
- Design initiatives to amplify team performance and productivity; work with cross-functional teams to drive execution
- Define and manage the development of tools, systems, and process used across merchant-facing teams
- Manage deal desk and pricing; drive agreement closure and deal terms compliance
- Partner with leadership to develop go-to-market strategy, define resource needs and allocation

The RealReal is an online marketplace for second-hand luxury goods including high-end fashion, jewellery, watches, and fine art, all verified by in-house experts as part of the company’s robust authentication infrastructure. With a focus inspired by the circular economy, it also helps both buyers and consignors to extend products' lifespan, bringing sustainability to the fashion industry.
The company has sought to boost its activities through strategic moves like a partnership with Gucci, which is focusing on sustainability as it incentivises its customers to buy authenticated secondhand goods via The RealReal. Also, there have been forward-thinking approaches to customer acquisition and retention such as AI pricing and fake finding. Regardless, as a primarily retail-based company, The RealReal was affected by inflation in 2023 and made a 7% cut to its workforce to reduce operational costs in the first quarter. 2024 Q1 also showed the company to report a loss with an optimistic hope for growth in the following quarters.
