- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years in brand management, marketing, consumer insights, category management, or banking/consulting/strategy
- Strong analytical skills with experience using business performance, consumer, and syndicated data to develop recommendations
- Experience supporting product launches, integrated marketing campaigns, or commercialization initiatives
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize information and influence cross-functional partners
- Experience collaborating with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D, or other cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
What the job involves
- The Honest Company is seeking an Associate Brand Manager to join our Adult Operating Unit and support one of our fastest-growing and strategic businesses—Flushable Wipes
- You will develop your brand management skills by partnering with cross-functional teams across Sales, Consumer Insights, Innovation, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, Creative, and eCommerce to bring category growth strategies, product innovation, and integrated marketing campaigns to life
- As a key member of the Flushable Wipes team, you will help manage day-to-day business performance while supporting the development and execution of long-term growth strategies
- This role offers broad exposure across the business—from innovation and commercialization to retailer execution, demand planning, portfolio management, and business analytics—providing an exceptional opportunity to grow your marketing and general management capabilities
- Analyze business performance, category trends, competitive activity, and consumer insights to identify opportunities and develop actionable recommendations that drive growth
- Support development and execution of the Flushable Wipes annual business plan, including growth initiatives, innovation, portfolio optimization, and integrated marketing programs
- Lead key workstreams for innovation and new product launches, partnering cross-functionally from concept through commercialization to ensure flawless execution
- Partner with Sales, Category Management, and Shopper Marketing to support compelling retailer sell-in stories, customer presentations, and best-in-class retail execution
- Monitor business performance across retail and eCommerce channels, identify drivers of velocity, and recommend action plans to improve distribution, productivity, and household penetration
- Support monthly business reviews by analyzing financial results, market performance, and key business metrics to identify opportunities, risks, and recommended actions
- Partner with Supply Chain, Sales Planning, and Finance to support demand forecasting and monthly S&OP processes, ensuring forecasts reflect innovation timing, promotional plans, retail distribution changes, and business performance
- Coordinate cross-functional project timelines across Innovation, Packaging, Regulatory, Creative, Digital, and Supply Chain to ensure on-time delivery of key initiatives
- Support development of packaging updates, product positioning, claims, and consumer communications that strengthen Honest's differentiated positioning
- Contribute to development of consumer insights, competitive analyses, and category learning to inform future innovation and business strategy
- Manage day-to-day business operations with exceptional organization, attention to detail, and follow-through while proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes and execution
Our take
The Honest Company was founded in 2012 by Jessica Alba with the simple idea to create everyday products that are safer, gentler, and more transparent about what goes into them. The brand built its reputation on "clean" personal care - things like baby products, skincare, and household items made without any of the harsh chemicals. Because of this approach, it quickly gained popularity with families looking for a trusted, easy-to-understand product.
Over time, Honest has grown into a well-known name in baby and personal care, with products designed for both kids and adults. Its lotions, shampoos and wipes are especially popular for being mild and easy on sensitive skin. In a fun and unexpected moment, even astronauts have taken notice, during the Artemis II mission, astronaut Christina Koch mentioned missing Honest's lotion while in space, showing just how widely love the brand has become.
The company has been going through a bit of a reset though, deciding to step back from selling directly to customers online, choosing instead to focus on retail partnerships and wholesale. This shift is part of a larger plan to cut costs and simplify the business after slower growth. While it means less direct control over how customer shop the brand, it should help Honest become more profitable and focused, leaning into what it does best while relying on big retail partners to drive scale in the future.
