Role
Who you are
- 2+ years total professional experience as an IT SaaS Admin and 3+ years as an IT associate
- Experience with administering SaaS apps like Google Workspace, M365, Slack, Zoom, and Trelica
- Experience with identity and access management (IAM), ideally with Okta
- Experience with SOC2 and/or ISO 27001 compliance audits
- Experience with mobile device management and administration, ideally with Jamf Pro and Intune
- Experience with supporting and troubleshooting macOS and Windows endpoints
- Experience with ITSM and ticketing systems, such as Freshservice, Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk, etc
- Strong knowledge of IT automation and scripting languages, such as Bash, Python, JavaScript, etc
- Want to be a member of our IT team as we centralize vendor management
- Build out integrations and automate repetitive tasks
- Elevate the end-user experience using tech
- Make decisions that can impact the enterprise as a whole with our IT plans
- Interest in journalism, news, media or social media
Desirable
- Have excellent communication skills with an ability to explain ideas clearly, give and receive feedback, and work well with team members
- Exhibit a willingness to learn in areas where they have less experience with our tech stack
- Take pride in the quality of their work and want to build out improvements to existing systems and to create new ones
- Familiar with IT endpoint security and corporate security best practices
- Take a logical approach to problem solving that combines analytical thinking and intuition
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a collaborative and self-motivated Senior IT SaaS Administrator to join our quickly growing team and make a big impact
- As an IT SaaS Admin on the IT/Security Team, you’ll work closely with Security, HR, BizOps, and managers to provision access, automate workflows, administer our SaaS applications and manage our vendors
- You will also participate in fulfilling IT service management requests and resolving help desk tickets
- You will oversee the configuration, security, integration, evaluation, purchasing, licensing, and onboarding/off-boarding of all the software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications within Muck Rack’s technology portfolio
- The person in the role will be responsible for forecasting SaaS spend and identifying redundancies in tool usage, minimizing unnecessary licensing
- Our IT tech stack includes Okta, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom, Trelica, CrowdStrike Falcon, 1Password, Shortcut, Github Enterprise and more. Our technology team is focused on scale, quality, delivery, and thoughtful customer experience

Muck Rack was founded in 2009 as a platform for businesses to connect with journalists. As of 2022, tens of thousands of journalists have profiles on Muck Rack that are available for businesses such as Google, Pfizer, and Duolingo to browse and employ writers from.
The nature of journalism has evolved since Muck Rack’s founding, with social media and digital outlets taking demand away from printed publications. As the landscape changes, Muck Rack has expanded their services to include a Public Relations Management platform.
It’s moves like this, as well as their shift into being a “distributed” business (hybrid or remote) that has ignited a renewed confidence in Muck Rack from investors.
