- Fluent in software engineering fundamentals

What the job involves
- You’ll be instrumental in designing and building infrastructure and applications to propel the design, deployment, and benchmarking of existing and new pipelines and ML models
- Working with software and data engineers, data scientists and market analysts, you’ll help bridge the gap between scientific experiments and commercial products by ensuring 100% uptime and bulletproof fault-tolerance of every component of the team's data pipelines
- You will be considered an integral part of a team of 3-5 engineers and data scientists, and will contribute to delivering the same goals & roadmap as everyone around you
- By working on the same projects as everyone else, you will get prompt and thorough support and feedback: we believe this is the best way to maximise your learning and impact
- Data engineering: extracting, transforming and loading data at scale
- Machine learning: prototype, improve and deploy to production algorithms making inferences, at scale
- Business: interact with experts from the energy industry, and observe and influence a start-up getting a lot of market traction and reacting to it
- Programming: Python or Java, and SQL required. Some knowledge of Rust is an advantage
- Version control & CI/CD: Github
- Cloud: AWS
- Orchestration: Docker, Airflow, MLFlow, and Kubernetes
- Distributed Messaging: Kafka / Redpanda
- Storage: S3 and RDS
