  • 6+ years experience as a product marketer in cybersecurity or identity management
  • Experience driving large scale, company-impacting launches
  • Experience writing (or leading) thought leadership and customer-facing content

What the job involves

  • Okta, the leading Identity and Access Management platform, is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to play a pivotal role in driving Okta’s strategy to build secure integrations with SaaS applications. If you're passionate about making an impact and excited to take on a key role in a fast-paced, innovative environment, we want to hear from you
  • You will shape how we communicate the value of our integrations, ensuring our offerings stand out in a competitive landscape. Your ability to present insights and strategies to executives will be crucial, as will your understanding of the security benefits that Okta provides
  • In particular, you will lead the product marketing of Okta’s “Secure Identity Integrations” ecosystem, which exists within the Okta Integration Network. Your goal will be to ensure our customers understand their security features and benefits, and how this differentiates Okta
  • Drive go-to-market strategy: Develop the strategy for strategic integrations with key SaaS applications, positioning Okta as a leader in secure identity management
  • Communicate security features: Highlight and communicate the security features of integrations, ensuring that customers and stakeholders understand the value of robust security capabilities (e.g. Single Sign On, Lifecycle Managment, Universal Logout)
  • Create & present enablement materials: Produce comprehensive enablement materials, including product briefs, presentations, and competitive analysis, to support sales and partner teams. Deliver the material with expertise, and strong executive presence
  • Represent in the industry: Represent Okta at industry conferences, webinars, and other events, sharing insights on product integrations and security best practices
  • Collaborate across teams: Work closely with product management, engineering, sales, and customer success teams to align on product features, customer needs, and market trends
  • Conduct market research: Perform market research and analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, enabling informed decision-making and strategy refinement
  • Present to executives: Regularly present and align with the top executives at Okta to showcase strategies, updates, and insights, highlighting the impact of integrations on business objectives
  • Drive launches: For products that the Secure Identity Integrations, as new integrations are added to the ecosystem

Our take

Okta started off as an identity company where organisations, large and small, could tap into the company to have a single sign-on interface to access all cloud applications now centralised. Okta has since expanded to provide identity management at the device as well as the server level.

The new approach towards network security is increasingly based on identification and authentication, and Okta is on track to become the go-to vendor in the space. They aim to do so by developing products that enable people to access applications and other tools more smoothly and securely than ever before.

Okta has taken strides towards expansion through significant employee growth and shuffling executive leadership. The company has also made lateral moves such as tackling governance concerns, opening up new paths for revenue.
