Full Stack Engineer, Stripe

• We are seeking engineers who are excited to develop features for these foundations as well as their higher-level dashboard surfaces, delivering best-in-class product experiences for our users
• Strong technical background, including 2+ years of experience as a full stack engineer, with an affinity for building scalable backend infrastructure
• Experience delivering, extending, and maintaining large scale distributed systems
• Empathetic, collaborative, and user-first mindset in everything you build
• Interest in working as a generalist across varying technologies and stacks to solve problems and delight both internal and external users
• Preference for simple solutions and designs over complex ones, and having a good intuition for what is lasting and scalable
• The skills to build holistically – from specs and documentation to implementation, testing, deployment, and measuring impact
• Ability to work well cross-functionally and earn trust from colleagues at all levels

Desirable

• Engineers on the team will design and build end-to-end features fundamental to the onboarding and management experience of every Connect Stripe user, including Stripe’s largest Connect users with complex integrations
• Create beautiful web surfaces and interactive dashboard experiences using technologies such as React, JavaScript, CSS and GraphQL. Build the APIs that power these experiences, defining composable data models and durable interfaces
• Partner closely with other engineers and data scientists to build highly scalable, ML driven system(s), help run experiments, and surface insights across all points of customer interactions
• Solve problems end-to-end across a variety of systems and services, in close collaboration with other engineers on your team Interact with product and business leaders to help develop and execute on a data-first growth strategy that scales with Stripe
