Role
Who you are
- You are autonomous, have strong organizational skills and you favor teamwork, and more concretely:
- Master's degree and at least 2 years' experience in a public research institution are mandatory
- Fluency in English and French (minimum B2 level required for both)
- Familiarity with the organization and operation of public research establishments
- Knowledge of accounting and tax regulations applicable to public institutions
- Familiarity with the organization of French research and key players in innovation and development
- Proficiency in office automation tools (advanced Excel) and project management methods and tools
- Mastery of communication tools and techniques for setting up research projects with multiple partners
- Strong planning, reporting, and summarizing abilities
- Ability to prepare and write briefing notes and summary documents in English and French
- Experience in implementing and optimizing procedures, designing dashboards, and drafting documents
- Transmitting, reporting, and summarizing information

What the job involves
- Reporting to the Academic Patnerships Director, as part of the implementation of a joint laboratory, between the CNRS (Centre de Nanosciences et Nanotechnologies) and Quandela, the Project Manager will organize and manage all the team's projects (Researchers, PostDocs and PhD students) and participate in the management of the joint laboratory within Quandela's academic partnerships department
- The Project Manager will help implementing the team's and the joint laboratory's internal and external communication and valorization policy, and more precisely:
- Ensure the management of European and national projects managed within the GOSS team and those of Quandela related to the joint laboratory, mainly :
- Monitor and update all projects (European and others), related to the joint laboratory, regarding technical aspects (deliverables, financial and administrative monitoring, planning, etc.)
- Organize the financial monitoring of projects and of the joint laboratory, thus, set up, monitor and analyze performance indicators, while ensuring compliance with the funding body's eligibility rules (expenditure monitoring, recruitment monitoring, etc.)
- Organize and monitor working meetings and ensure that deadlines and commitments are met
- Manage the GOSS team's agenda and the missions of the team and invited researchers and visitors
- Draft minutes and statements of decisions, annual reports, financial reports and indicators
- Implement an internal and external communication policy: website, social networks, posters, etc
- Participate in the organization of the joint laboratory, mainly:
- The governance of the joint laboratory: meetings, agenda and invitations, preparing documents, distributing information, etc
- Drawing up the joint laboratory's budget and monitoring its implementation in conjunction with the CNRS and Quandela finance departments
- Implementing of the valorization and transfer policy ( intellectual properties, …) between the CNRS and Quandela within the framework of the joint laboratory
- You will work At Quandela in Massy (7 rue Léonard de Vinci, Massy) and at C2N (18 bd Thomas Gobert, Palaiseau)
- To sum up, you will play a high-impact role within Quandela's academic partnerships department. Your ideas will be welcome on all future topics and there are many build topics
- You will be supported throughout your development, and we will ensure that you have all the cards in hand to allow you to be fulfilled on a daily basis
Our take
As quantum computing shifts from the realm of theory to that of reality, Quandela is here to facilitate its accelerated uptake. The company supplies access to Quantum Processing Units via the "Quandela Cloud", and is also developing photonic quantum computers to sell to industrial customers.
Through its cloud gateway, users can submit jobs to Quandela's quantum computers and monitor them from an online interface, helping to make quantum computing more widely accessible. The company also runs a computing platform called MosaiQ, through which new quantum computing algorithms and protocols can be prototyped, developed, and implemented.
Having already made strides in the sector, Quandela's latest focus is the delivery of its commercial quantum computers, the first of which was bought and hosted by cloud provider OVHcloud in an industry-first transaction. Funding will support the expansion of this side of the business and otherwise support the company's as-yet-confidential roadmap.
