- You have a strong technical background regarding data preparation, data processing and data analysis
- You are experienced in project driven environment and the maintenance and development of system interfaces and the translation of functional requirements into data requirements
- You are very strong working with SQL, Excel (e.g. power query, VBA). SAP is a significant plus
- You have already obtained a strong understanding and practical experience of Finance and Accounting. Experience with banking industries is preferred
- You would like to expand this experience in a dynamic, fast-growing company and make a significant contribution to the successful development and expansion of Solaris
- You enjoy working independently but you are also a strong team player
- You have excellent communication skills and thrive on working with a large range of stakeholders, as well as working in a team and supporting team members in achieving tangible results and progress
- Due to the international environment, advanced English skills are required. German is a significant plus
What the job involves
- The CFO area is responsible for accounting, tax, financial and regulatory reporting for our growing business. We have a central role in building state of the art FinTech products to empower our partners and achieve success
- We operate with the vision of establishing automated, data-driven and scalable Finance and Regulatory Reporting processes
- Currently we are looking for a talented Finance Data Analyst who will be mainly responsible for financial reporting purposes, technical accounting support and data analysis and modelling
- You take a key role in the data preparation for Accounting, Regulatory and Tax related reporting topics under HGB and IFRS
- You support the Finance / Accounting and Regulatory reporting teams in the maintenance and enhancement of the technical interfaces of their core systems (SAP, OneSumX, Sectras): maintain all connections and adhere to accurate data and the exchange of information between platforms, database and our report generators
- You collaborate closely with other departments as you take the role as an intermediate between the functional reporting teams and the technical Data teams
- You enable the functional teams to automate and improve financial processes in order to shorten time to close, improve controls and reconciliations and ensure scalability as the business grows further
- Additionally, you support strategic projects from a technical finance perspective and address e.g. new product implementations or partner onboardings

There are many obstacles in place that prevent companies from offering their own financial services. Complex and high-cost processes mean that companies find it difficult to build their own banking systems or even apply for a banking license. This can stunt development as it reduces a company's growth and expansion options.
Solaris offers a Banking-as-a-Service platform that allows companies to seamlessly integrate financial services within their existing operations, removing traditional hurdles that companies would have to face. The company differs from the competition through the use of an API for optimal integration. It also holds a full German banking license, granting it an efficient position to deal with any red tape and complex processes, taking this strain away from companies.
Through moves such as its acquisition of MER, as well as many other collaborations, Solaris has paved the way for increased operations across Europe to now offer significant market coverage. In the long run, the company aims to be the core banking service across Europe and a foundational platform through which all companies integrate financial services into their ecosystem.
