Role
Who you are
- 2+ years experience in HR, preferably in a fast-paced and fast-growing company
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field of studies
- Exposure to Dutch employment law is preferred
- Experience with employment law in several countries is a big plus
- Experience working with global Employer of Record (EoR) suppliers
- Experience working with HRIS software
- The drive to help and support people is in your nature
- Well-organised, structured, detail-oriented and analytical
- Able to follow procedures, while also able to be flexible and think outside-the-box
- Responsible, hands-on, and able to prioritize
- Great social skills and the ability to form working relationships with people at all levels
- You can easily cope in a dynamic environment
- Professional communication and written skills in English are required for this role
- Dutch language skills preferred
What the job involves
- As our People Operations Specialist, you’ll be mainly responsible for the planning and performing of the day-to-day HR tasks within MessageBird
- With your administrative contribution, you’ll make it possible for the HR team to employ colleagues (or ‘Birds’ as we like to call them) across the globe
- Your love for working with people, and data and your experience with (international) employment legislation, combined with your amazing social skills make you the perfect addition to MessageBird

- Coordinate and perform day-to-day HR tasks relating to the whole employee lifecycle
- Responsible for supporting the business with administrative requirements for onboarding, contracting and talent management
- Ensure we satisfy local and international employment standards and legislative HR requirements
- Keeping yourself informed about local employment legislation changes and updating the team accordingly
- Work with the People team to manage and improve HR Operations workflows that support the team and the wider business
- Ensure the integrity of HR data
- Full-time 7-month temporary contract, with potential for permanent role conversion
