Who you are
- Hours: We are looking to fill multiple roles and are happy to accept applications from people looking to work between 20-40 hours per week. This is a 3 month contractor role which will cover August, September and October
- Our core hours are 9am-6pm but we are happy to consider all flexible working requests
- At Koru Kids we have a triple mission: to support working parents during the hardest years of their life, to give children the best possible childhood to allow them to flourish as adults, and to create really great jobs for childcarers. We’re a marketplace, which means we have two customers: people who look after children and families. The challenge is massive, but our team is really good

What the job involves
- You’ll be responsible for matching our families and nannies together. Most of your role will be spent speaking with families and nannies to help them decide if they are a perfect match for each other. The team’s purpose is to support families and nannies to make informed, timely decisions about working together. We care about making high quality matches that last, where the focus is on the longer-term customer experience
- We’ll give you all the training and support you need to do the job really well. In particular, you’ll learn advanced techniques to help customers resolve problems and make decisions. You’ll have the freedom to experiment and improve the way we do things
- This is a really great experience to work in a fast paced startup
- The role can be fully remote, but there is the opportunity to work from our office in Old Street, London, if you’d prefer. You’ll receive the training and support you need. You’ll be a crucial part of the team, and have our trust that you can do a great job.

Our take
The childcare sector in the UK is under pressure, with prices rising and nurseries closing down. The way of finding nannies hasn't seen innovation in decades, and there hasn't been an introduction of technology to drive great experiences.
Koru Kids has focused on after-school childcare, allowing them to hone their product and solve one of the most neglected areas. This is specifically important in major cities like London, where parents are often working longer hours.
The business takes out all the hassle of finding a nanny. The solution isn't simply technology: Koru Kids also interviews, trains and references its nannies, and takes care of contracts, holiday pay and taxes. This operational complexity builds a competitive advantage.
