Role
Who you are
- 6-8+ years of experience in a marketing and communications role at a consumer-facing tech platform
- A proven track record of managing channel communications and leading creative and organic social teams
- Experience developing and executing impactful brand campaigns with measurable results
- A relentlessly curious and creative mindset, with a passion for emerging technologies, channels, and ways of working
- Strong creative instincts and the ability to provide clear, actionable feedback to elevate creative work
- Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and drive alignment across the organization
- Experience managing and motivating a team, with a focus on clear expectations and empathetic leadership
- A genuine passion for tech, pop culture, and the performing arts!
What the job involves
- Reporting directly to the President of TodayTix, you'll collaborate closely with a high performing team of growth marketers and product managers
- This role requires strategic thinking and a roll-up-your-sleeves approach to execution
- TodayTix is recognized as the go-to platform for live entertainment in key markets (New York, London, and top US cities), with a distinct and engaging brand identity
- Secure consistent coverage in Tier 1 media outlets that reinforce TodayTix’s positioning
- Build an organic social presence that drives meaningful engagement, community growth, and shareable brand moments
- Increase the number of customers discovering TodayTix through organic channels (non-paid search, social, PR, word of mouth)
- Strengthen member engagement, leading to more repeat purchases and higher customer lifetime value
- Develop and test organic growth strategies that meaningfully contribute to acquisition and retention
- Establish a clear, unified marketing calendar that aligns paid, CRM, and organic efforts for maximum impact
- Ensure brand-led campaigns are fully integrated across channels, enhancing customer experience and storytelling
- Improve the ability to measure the impact of brand marketing on business outcomes
- Recruit and retain top creative and organic social talent to support TodayTix’s brand vision
- Foster a culture of experimentation, creativity, and results-driven marketing
- Set clear goals and expectations for the team, ensuring high performance and impact
- Develop a proactive PR strategy that secures meaningful media placements and drives brand credibility
- Position TodayTix executives as industry thought leaders through speaking engagements, interviews, and op-eds
- Identify and activate external PR resources in the UK and US as needed to amplify key initiatives
- Ensure consistent application of TodayTix’s brand voice, tone, and visual identity across all marketing touchpoints
- Lead brand evolution efforts as the company scales, ensuring continued relevance and resonance
- Establish TodayTix as a brand that customers love and actively recommend
Our take
Founded in 2013 by Broadway veterans Brian Fenty and Merritt Baer, TodayTix Group has grown to become a global eCommerce leader for cultural experiences. Aiming to connect a worldwide audience with theatre, opera and dance productions, to date it has sold over 70 million tickets to 200,000 shows listed on its platform.
While numerous ticket sellers exist, TodayTix was an innovator in this area, arriving at a time when mobile devices accounted for less than 1/1000th of all theatrical ticket sales. Standing out with its extensive tech stack including widgets, API and white label software for its partners, it is able to provide an excellent customer experience with a checkout process of less than 30 seconds. This has led to around 5% of all sales on Broadway being processed through TodayTix's platform today.
Since 2020, TodayTix has focused heavily on acquisitions, focusing on tech-forward, advertising, theatre and cultural event companies. These include Goldstar, Show-Score, Arthouse, Encore, and Broadway Roulette. TodayTix has acquired Secret Cinema in 2022, growing its participation in the immersive film and television events space and strengthening its market-leading position in the entertainment industry.
