Who you are

3+ years of hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field, ideally in a fast-paced or startup environment
Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL
Strong expertise in machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn)

What the job involves

We’re seeking a Senior Data Scientist to help shape the future of our platform, working at the intersection of financial data, machine learning, and cutting-edge analytics.
In this role, you’ll drive meaningful insights, develop AI-powered solutions, and work closely with product and engineering to deliver scalable systems that solve real-world problems
AI Innovation:
Design, train, and deploy predictive models for use cases like anomaly detection, risk assessment, and trend forecasting
Develop applications using LLMs to parse and extract insights from unstructured data, streamlining financial workflows
Stay at the forefront of AI advancements to identify opportunities for implementing novel techniques in our platform
Data Science Leadership:
Build, optimize, and maintain data pipelines and architectures to ensure scalability and performance
Conduct in-depth analyses to uncover insights and deliver data-driven recommendations for strategic decisions
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate models seamlessly into the platform
Team Growth: Mentor junior team members and establish best practices to foster a high-performing data science culture
Automation & Tools: Develop tools and frameworks that enhance the efficiency of internal teams and improve the customer experience

An effective finance and accounting team is essential to any successful business. Blue Onion helps accounting teams improve efficiency by automating the tracing and reconciliation of order transaction, reducing the manual workload involved in managing complex financial data.

Founded by a team with experience across accounting and data science, Blue Onion has developed a platform that acts similarly to an ERP system, but with a more focused and cost-effective approach aimed at SMBs and eCommerce businesses. Its order-to-cash reconciliation tools have helped the company build a client base of more than 200 consumer brands, creating a strong foundation for more growth.
