What the job involves
- We’re now looking for a Staff Frontend Product Engineer to join our Unified Data Model (Platform Management) team
- In this role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape the future of our inventory platform by architecting scalable solutions, mentoring peers, and directly boosting our customers’ efficiency and sustainability
- Our tech stack is Python, React, TypeScript, Node.js, FastAPI, various AWS services (e.g. Fargate, Aurora, SQS), MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Docker
- As a Staff Product Engineer, you’ll operate as a technical and strategic leader within the Inventory team
- You’ll tackle the most complex problems in our domain, guide architectural decisions, and help level up the team around you. This is a hands-on role with wide influence
- Drive product iteration with scale in mind – rapidly improve our Inventory platform based on real-world feedback, while anticipating the needs of future customers and markets. You help ensure we’re not just shipping fast- but shipping the right things, in the right way
- Design and deliver complex, high-impact features – lead the development of powerful new capabilities that improve operational efficiency and sustainability for our users. You’ll balance technical feasibility with user empathy, helping us build what truly matters
- Lead the evolution of our data model and domain architecture – Inventory is one of the most data-intensive, multi-layered parts of our platform. You’ll own foundational technical decisions and collaborate with EMs and product leaders to future-proof our system
- Create internal leverage through tools and platform thinking – build self-serve features for customers and automation tools for internal teams. You’ll spot opportunities to reduce repeated work and raise our baseline through thoughtful abstraction
- Set the technical direction for our system architecture – proactively re-architect ageing paths, eliminate scaling bottlenecks, and define new patterns that enable multiple squads to move faster. You’ll lead by doing, and teach through example

Our take
Nory’s AI and automation software allows restaurants to more easily take control of common pain points like inventory, staffing, and marketing, all on one platform. With thin margins, stretched teams and high levels of waste, Nory was founded by a seasoned restaurant founder and scaler, who knows all too well how juggling "market-leading" systems can become a headache for restaurant managers. Indeed, he even built an early version of Nory for his own restaurant.
What makes Nory a particularly interesting prospect is the value that it can offer multi-site restaurants or chains, given its ability to collect data on each location at once. It melds real-time data with AI predictive analytics so that operators can regain control of their profit. It’s this certainty of purpose and value that’s helped Nory get off to a flying start, securing a rapidly growing customer base including Stonegate Pubs, Dr Juice and Viva Italia.
Having raised a significant amount of capital, most recently in a May 2025 Series B round, Nory has grown its team and expanded from Ireland and the UK into Spain as well. It's using its funding to expand into the US, hire data scientists and accelerate its product development. As the hospitality industry struggles with high costs and low margins, Nory's solution will be increasingly essential for restaurants seeking to optimise their operations and turn a profit.
