Role
Who you are
- Some proficiency in the .NET stack, particularly C#
- Knowledge of Web Foundations, including any of HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS
- Knowledge of any front-end frameworks, such as Blazor, React, Angular or Vue.js is beneficial
- STEM degree
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, often utilising proprietary methods
- Comfortable working in a team
- Excellent communication skills with a self-starting attitude
- Having an interest in financial markets
What the job involves
- Working in this team would see your initial responsibility focusing on our front-end library, which is in use across all TradingHub’s internal and external facing websites
- This provides a reusable library of widgets (tables, graphs, layout components, etc) to allow our teams to rapidly build websites from reusable components
- Specific responsibilities could then cover the design of new features as well as maintenance/bugfixes
- After familiarising yourself to our stack, the successful candidate would likely spend most of their time working in Blazor and ASP.NET to develop and maintain our new component library
- As Blazor is a relatively new technology, the UI team will develop against the newest .NET 6 technology to push the bleeding edge of Blazor’s potential into powerful, efficient, and stylish components interfaced for simple composition
- The candidate will coordinate with the internal teams who make use of our libraries to prioritise features and propose new approaches to target releases to client websites
