Who you are
- 9+ years of progressive HR / People Partner experience, with at least 3-5 years supporting a product or engineering organization in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
- Proven track record of leading organizational transformations and managing large-scale change initiatives
- Strong business acumen and the ability to connect People strategy to business outcomes
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with senior leaders
- Resilience and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic environment
- Deep knowledge of California and federal labor laws
- A builder's mindset, with the ability to create new programs and processes from scratch
What the job involves
- This position, reporting to the Manager of People Partnership, is a high-level strategic and operational individual contributor partner to our leaders, focused on our Product Engineering teams in California
- A successful individual in this role will help define and drive the people strategy for a major business unit of the company
- This individual will be a player-coach, providing both strategic guidance and sleeves-rolled-up concrete problem solving
- They will be excited by a fast-paced, evolving work environment where they can tactically shape the success of their client groups for years to come
- Strategic Partnership: Serve as a strategic partner and coach to senior leadership, including our VP of Product Engineering. Advise on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management initiatives to support growth and the future phases of the business
- Execution and Problem Solving: Identify issues, challenge assumptions, and proactively run problems to ground as they arise. Operate autonomously, with an execution mindset, and maximize your accountability for getting the on-the-ground work done
- Organizational Transformation: Lead and drive key organizational transformations, including integrating new teams, optimizing reporting structures, and ensuring the People strategy aligns with business goals
- Talent Programs: Drive talent strategies and programs, such as performance management, career pathing, and succession planning. Partner with HR leadership to identify new program needs
- Site and Culture Leadership: Function as a visible and trusted site HR leader for the California workforce, driving alignment amongst teams. Partner with the Employee Experience Specialist and Engagement team to drive action on employee engagement in the California office
- Employee Relations: Provide expert guidance and support on complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and legal compliance. Expertly and expediently conduct and close out investigations and employee relations concerns
- Data-Driven Insights: Use People data and analytics to inform strategic decisions and identify trends within the organization
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with other People Team Centers of Excellence (COEs) such as Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Benefits & Support teams, to design and deliver seamless People programs and services

Form Energy, however, have created a reliable battery that has the capacity to revolutionize how we use electricity.
Revolutionizing battery storage is at the core of Form Energy’s approach to making renewable energy universal. Form Energy’s battery is based around Iron-air technology that currently has energy storage capacities and operational costs comparable to legacy power plants. In addition to improvements in cost and consistent electricity access, Form Energy’s batteries are scalable, portable, and safe - offering a unique approach to revolutionizing renewable energy storage towards a greener future.
Although renewable energy storage technology remains an emerging industry, a variety of competitors are also driving developments of battery storage technology. However, Form Energy continues to be a key leader in this space, bagging significant investment that will enable it to build its first manufacturing plant and begin selling to customers. Form Energy's progress is highlighted by a deal with Xcel Energy to deploy iron-air battery systems at two of its retiring coal plant sites and with Puget Sound Energy in 2024, to help the company deploy multi-day energy storage systems.
