Who you are
- 3+ years experience with Product Management
- Domain expertise in financial services products is a plus
- High customer empathy, with a desire to get in the shoes of our customers
- You need to be very comfortable interacting with Motive’s largest customers
- Experience converting research and knowledge into useful product requirements
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with different personality types and seniority levels
- Have high “EQ”; be even-keeled, flexible, and able to quickly adapt to unexpected changes
- Experience working with large complex platforms which require customization to serve the needs of large enterprises
- Knowledgeable in data structures, SQL, and developing reporting
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager with a strong track record of building financial services products in close collaboration with sales, customer success, and engineering teams
- You should also excel in engaging with our largest, most strategic customers to ensure their needs are met and help drive mutual success
- Ideally you are an entrepreneurial and customer-centric Product Manager to drive the development of innovative, financial services solutions for Motive’s most strategic customers
- This role offers an exciting opportunity to directly impact the company's growth and strengthen relationships with key clients by improving their operational efficiency through cutting-edge, customer-facing products
- As a Senior Product Manager, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including product managers, engineers, and executives—to shape and execute a roadmap that enhances workflows for companies in the physical economy
- You’ll lead initiatives that span web and mobile platforms, leveraging technologies like mapping and machine learning to create impactful features for a diverse set of customers
- To excel in this role, you should be comfortable managing a complex, high-impact product area and have a deep understanding of customer needs to deliver simplified, effective solutions
- You’ll be a strong advocate for the customer, while driving execution and inspiring your team to meet ambitious goals

- Work closely with Motive’s largest strategic customers to understand their business needs and become a true partner to them
- Recognized as the expert at Motive for what it takes to grow the spend management product with enterprise customers
- Define a roadmap for Motive Financial Services and Spend Management products aligning with business and customer needs to ensure upmarket growth
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, design, operations to execute to transform user requirements into actionable product specifications
- Analyze internal and external data, as well as market and competitive trends, to inform strategic decisions around our product offerings and go-to-market approach
- Incorporate feedback and input from customers, partners and in-house teams on product strategy and find ways to expand product market reach

Trucking is a huge but fragmented industry that was largely ignored by Silicon Valley until companies such as Motive (formerly KeepTruckin) came along. The integrated fleet management platform acts as air traffic control for trucks, bringing drivers online and into the 21st century.
The company offers both hardware and software solutions to freight companies, allowing them to manage their fleet and keep their drivers safe. One of these solutions is an AI-powered dashcam that detects unsafe driving behavior in real time and instantly alerts the driver.
The platform, which is used by over 120,000 companies, from small businesses to Fortune 500 enterprises, received series F funding in 2022, which is being used to accelerate its investment in AI, expand its product offerings into spend management, and grow its enterprise capabilities.
