What the job involves
- Coordinating and driving our recruitment and onboarding
- Building out review and appraisal systems
- Developing and delivering a best in class benefits offering
- Exploring and enacting ways of streamlining and improving our People processes through technologies and tools
- Building out and managing a programme of regular social activities
- Ensuring compliance with appropriate UK employment regulations, including visa sponsorship
- Working with the Operations team to develop longer-term People and Talent strategies
- Assisting with development and leading on execution of a robust D&I strategy and policies
Application process
- Initial screening interview (15 mins) - an informal conversation, for us to hear more about your interest in the role, and a chance to answer any initial questions
- Skills test + second interview - a short take-home skills test followed by a 45 minute interview with Florence (Deputy COO) and Mike (COO) to discuss your experience and how you might approach some different scenarios
- Final interview(s) - short interviews with two other people in senior management

In recent years, a growing global focus on achieving net-zero carbon emissions has caused a boom in the so-called 'voluntary carbon market'. Broadly, this is where private investors, governments, non-governmental organizations and businesses voluntarily purchase carbon offsets with a view to reducing their overall emissions. Founded in 2020, BeZero's aim is to scale one of the leading climate solutions so that the allocation of capital ends up in the projects that deliver the highest quality climate action.
The company provides data and analytics systems that help participants in the market understand voluntary carbon credits and thereby help them make better decisions as a result. BeZero takes a research-first mindset, fusing traditional capital markets research practices with expertise in environmental sciences and technology.
In terms of timing, it is difficult to think of a better time in which BeZero could have entered the market. Developments such as the carbon goals set out at COP26 show that the world is really looking for innovative climate solutions. If BeZero can help the voluntary carbon market to be one of these, and with expectations that the market could grow anywhere between $30bn to $100bn in the next 10 years, the company could be well set to secure its own growth and help the environment at the same time.
