Who you are
- Master’s student in Business, or a related field
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in financial/business modelling
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel) and the ability to learn new tools quickly
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal & written
- Detail-oriented and well-organized, with the ability to plan and deliver on tight deadlines
- Ability to work autonomously and balance short and long-term projects simultaneously
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and building relationships with multiple stakeholders
- Excitement to work within a music-oriented environment is a big plus!
What the job involves
- This is a 6-month internship starting in July 2025 based in Paris (gap year or end-of study internships)
- B2B partnerships are at the heart of Deezer’s DNA and one of the main drivers of our growth
- We are looking for a motivated B2B Analyst intern in the Strategic Planning & Business Intelligence team to support our Global Partnerships team
- Your role will involve leveraging data for strategic planning and performance monitoring, supporting decision-making processes, and enhancing data quality across our partnership portfolio (both new and existing deals over all countries)

- Deal sizing (for new and existing partnerships): Conduct business analysis and modelling (Business Plan) to forecast deal potential over the years ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Monitoring Performance: Track and assess the performance of existing partnerships (incl. Budget and reforecast exercises along with the FP&A team), identifying areas for improvement and optimization
- Market Analysis: Conduct detailed analyses to identify trends, insights, and opportunities within existing and potential partnerships (evaluating new opportunities across key verticals and countries)
- Communicate Financials: Translate complex BP into actionable insights and present these findings to stakeholders through compelling visualisations and reports
- Collaborative Business Intelligence: Work closely on a weekly basis with cross-functional teams (such as Labels, Finance, Pricing and Data Analytics teams) to improve KPIs acumen and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Support Decision Making: Provide analytical support for strategic decisions, including preparation for board meetings and C-level strategic analysis, helping to align partnership strategies with broader company goals

The company operates in a crowded market dominated by giants like SPotify and Apple Music, but it's leaning into personalisation to stand out. Its latest update lets users customise themes, colors, icons and layouts, and gives instant access to their favourite artists, playlists and podcasts through the new Quick Access feature. So, with this approach, it wants to make the app feel more personal in the hopes of appealing to listeners looking for something a bit more tailored.
AI-generated music is another major factor shaping Deezer's direction (and it's a complicated one). Around 50,000 fully AI tracks are uploaded daily, and while many users may be curious, most want them clearly labelled and worry about their impact on real artists. Deezer already detects and labels AI content and keeps it out of recommendations and fraudulent payouts. If it can continue to handle this transparently, AI could become a trust-building advantage rather than a threat for the company.
