Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in strategic client relationship management or sales within the gaming industry or mobile advertising
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Proven ability to build strategic client partnerships and maximize account value through upsells and expansion
- Strong knowledge of the global mobile advertising ecosystem and game publishing business models
- Skilled in pipeline management and reporting, contract negotiation, and custom proposal/sales material development
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience in persuasive, professional client engagement and public speaking
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the initiative to proactively manage client accounts
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), sales prospecting tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator), and mobile measurement partners (e.g., AppsFlyer, Adjust, Singular)
- Working knowledge of gaming industry analytics platforms (e.g., Sensor Tower) and standard business tools (Excel/Google Sheets, PowerPoint/Google Slides, Slack, Zoom/Google Meet)
What the job involves
- The Account Manager, Demand within Mistplay's Ad Sales team will play a key role in managing and growing relationships with Mistplay's advertising clients, driving retention, and maximizing account value. Your role will be critical in ensuring clients realize the full value of Mistplay's platform, strengthening long-term partnerships and driving revenue growth
- Serve as the primary point of contact and own the overall relationship for assigned clients
- Build and manage a pipeline of upsell and expansion opportunities to maximize client lifetime value
- Advocate for clients internally by capturing and escalating their feedback across teams
- Deliver strategic feedback and performance insights that strengthen client relationships
- Drive client retention by proactively identifying and mitigating churn risk
- Partner with the Ad Operations team to identify opportunities to improve client performance and unlock upsell potential
- Track industry trends and client-specific developments (e.g., acquisitions, new game launches) to inform account strategy
- Maintain accurate CRM records and report to the Manager on pipeline, client trends, opportunities, and risks

Customer retention in mobile gaming can lead to increased ad revenue and more immersive experiences. Mistplay is a loyalty program helping publishers achieve a higher hit rate on their games, whilst simultaneously rewarding gamers for their loyalty.
Its loyalty programme involves curated game recommendation libraries and rewards for partaking in challenges and tournaments. Publishers gain increased ad revenue for partnering with Mistplay, as well as the chance to capitalise on a 6 million+ user base. Indeed, Mistplay has grown significantly since its launch in 2016, resulting in a buyout by GrowthCurve Capital in 2021.
Whilst it mainly focused on Android devices up until 2025, the release of Mistplay for iPhone marks a step up for the company. Its advertising and loyalty programmes can now reach an even larger consumer base, indicating a promising future for the pioneering ad and gaming platform.
