What the job involves
- As a Backend Engineer on the Servicing team at OnePay, you will build and enhance the tools and systems that power our customer support and operations experience across millions of users
- Architect, design, and implement backend services and tooling that support Operations and Customer Servicing teams
- Develop new features end-to-end, including 0→1 builds that enable scalable servicing workflows
- Build and maintain clear, thorough documentation to support our growing and remote organization
- Solve complex problems involving large-scale money movement and sensitive financial data
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and external vendors to deliver reliable, secure servicing solutions
- Integrate AI tools and LLM-powered capabilities into servicing workflows where impactful
- We use Node and TypeScript on the server, leveraging the NestJS framework within a microservice-oriented architecture running on Kubernetes and AWS
- On the client side, we build and ship product features for iOS, Android, and web platforms using React Native
- While you don’t need experience with our exact stack, familiarity with modern software engineering practices will help you ramp up quickly

On top of this, OnePay also serves employers with a B2B financial wellness suite to improve employee stability and engagement.
OnePay is already helping millions of consumers and has earned a 4.8-star app rating. And recently it announced crypto trading for Bitcoin and Ether, further expanding its offerings. With this momentum, the platform is really positioning itself as a true one-stop financial hub.
