Role
Who you are
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program in Computer Science or a related field, with a focus or interest in compilers, programming languages, and code optimization
- Expected to graduate by Spring 2026
- Strong knowledge of C and C++ with exceptional programming skills
- Experience with the LLVM compiler project, and a solid understanding of debugging, performance analysis, tuning, and testing
- A desire to learn compiler internals, including general and target-specific optimizations, code generation, instruction scheduling, syntax parsing, and runtime library interactions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of delivering clear and engaging messages to peers and team members
- Able to work during one of the following periods: May 19th - August 8th or June 16th - September 5th
- Must be available for the entire 12-week internship period
- Open to students who are U.S. citizens or international students with an F-1 visa
- Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates
What the job involves
- Join our Summer 2025 Intern Program as a Software Engineer Intern, where you'll help develop CPU compilers and related tools for the PlayStation SDK
- These tools are essential for both game developers and internal software teams who create games and applications for PlayStation, using programming languages like C and C++
- You’ll collaborate closely with SDK teams, system software teams, and game partners worldwide, gaining valuable industry experience
