Role
Who you are
- 2–4 years in sales ops, revenue ops, biz ops, financial analysis, or a quantitative/technical adjacent role
- Experience supporting a planning process such as quota setting, capacity modeling, or territory design
- A quantitative mindset: comfortable with complex, messy datasets and able to communicate what they mean for the business
- Familiarity with Salesforce and strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
- Operational discipline: someone who takes accuracy seriously and follows through on the details
- Curiosity about AI and automation and how emerging tools apply to GTM problems
- Clear communication across both technical and executive audiences
Desirable
- Exposure to multi-vertical or multi-segment GTM environments — enterprise and government sales motions
- SQL or experience with data querying and analysis
- Experience with workflow automation tools (Salesforce Flow, Zapier, Make, or AI-native RevOps tools)
- BI tool experience
- Salesforce Admin certification or progress toward it
What the job involves
- Our Revenue Operations team builds the data, systems, and processes that power Altana's commercial growth
- We don't just support the sales team — we engineer how it scales
- We're looking for a Sales Operations Analyst who brings analytical rigor, operational discipline, and a builder's instinct to the work of scaling a multi-vertical go-to-market organization
- You'll support annual planning, build the reporting and data infrastructure leadership relies on, and help design the systems and automation that make our commercial operations more effective over time
- This is a role with real breadth — from strategic planning support to keeping critical processes running accurately day to day
- The right person moves comfortably between both, understands why the details matter to the bigger picture, and is always looking for ways to systematize what shouldn't be manual
- You'll have exposure to senior leadership and genuine ownership from day one
- Support annual planning across commercial, federal, and allied government verticals — quota design, territory allocation, headcount and capacity modeling, and ramp assumptions; build and maintain models that make each planning cycle faster and more rigorous
- Build and maintain operational infrastructure across Altana's distinct sales motions, accounting for differences in deal structure, buying cycle, and success metrics — pipeline tracking, data architecture, and process design tailored to each vertical
- Develop analytical frameworks and reporting that give leadership real visibility into rep productivity, ramp curves, quota attainment, win rates by segment, and the leading indicators that drive mid-year decisions
- Identify where manual processes create drag and design scalable, automated alternatives; experiment with AI agents and workflow automation tools to improve data accuracy and reduce operational overhead as Altana scales
- Keep the systems leadership relies on accurate and current — tracking sheets, process documentation, and handoff materials — and progressively convert recurring manual work into automated workflows
Our take
Altana’s platform provides a shared source of truth for the global supply chain. The idea is that this will help businesses and governing powers optimize global commerce which, over the past few years, has shot up on the list of international priorities. With three quarters of businesses reporting recent supply chain disruptions, and governments increasingly concerned with mitigating security threats, data-driven visibility is more sought after than ever before.
Crucially, the platform doesn’t require data sharing to create global intelligence, instead using a federated machine learning approach. This is a nut many big-data companies have been trying to crack, and Altana’s success has attracted interest from top-tier investors like Google Ventures and Floating Point alongside contracts with the UK Department of Business & Trade. A number of other headline enterprises and government agencies are already on the company's customer roster.
With companies looking to recoup some of the $4T reportedly lost in supply chain disruptions over recent years, and the push for global databases getting stronger, logistics startups are having a fruitful investment period. Altana is crafting a remarkable product at a highly marketable time, and with partnerships with the likes of Maersk, it has had good uptake so far. Backed by substantial funding, Altana is set for a strong few years.
