Role

Who you are

  • Proven experience leading engineering teams at scale: 10+ years in engineering, including 5+ years managing engineering managers
  • Deep platform expertise: Experience in developer platforms and shared services (e.g. IAM, audit logging and similar), distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, APIs, or ML platforms
  • Strong strategic and execution skills: Ability to align platform investments with business needs while ensuring technical excellence
  • Strong operational excellence skills: Experience in operating time critical services at scale through the entire lifecycle, including proactive incidents prevention, rapid mitigation, and continuous learning
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment: Ability to handle ambiguity of a growing scaleup environment working on emerging technologies
  • Experience in AI-powered products (or adjacent fields) is a plus
  • Exceptional people leadership: Track record of building and leading high-performing, engaged engineering teams
  • Experience developing enterprise solutions: Familiarity with scaling platforms for large enterprise customers is a plus
  • Experience in streaming data: Knowledge of telephony, VoIP, signal processing and similar

  • To achieve this, we are building a world-class Product Platform that enables our AI-driven experiences to scale, adapt, and deliver seamless interactions at every touchpoint
  • This platform already is the heartbeat of our users’ conversations, and will be increasingly used by other teams at Parloa and by our partners
  • We are looking for a Head of Product Platform to lead and scale multiple engineering teams and their managers, driving the technical strategy, execution, and evolution of our platform capabilities
  • You will ensure that our AI-powered products are built on a robust, scalable, and developer-friendly foundation, enabling faster innovation and seamless integration with enterprise systems
  • This cross-functional leadership role requires deep technical expertise, organizational leadership, and strategic thinking to scale a high-performing engineering function
  • Lead and develop engineering managers: Mentor and guide EMs across multiple platform teams, ensuring impact, high alignment, execution, and team health
  • Define and execute the platform strategy: Establish a clear technical vision and together with your PM counterpart, iterate over your scope’s roadmap to ensure continuously impactful outcomes
  • Scale platform capabilities: Build highly reliable, performant, and extensible systems that support AI-driven customer interactions at scale
  • Drive engineering excellence: Foster best practices in architecture, operational excellence, reliability, security, and developer experience across the platform teams
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner closely with stakeholder teams to ensure platform investments align with company objectives
  • Operational ownership: Drive observability, performance, cost efficiency, and incident response across core platform services
  • Hire, retain, and scale: Attract top talent, build a strong culture, continuously raise the bar of engineering excellence, and structure teams for high autonomy and impact
