Role
Who you are
- Leadership and Management: Proactive self-starter and able to work independently, in a fast-paced start-up environment, demonstrating innovative thinking, ownership and leadership while manage projects, providing guidance to juniors, delegating tasks and keeping partners informed consistently
- Project Management: Demonstrable experience of working on projects and assignments, with evidence of responsibility to deliver in time pressured and complex technical or intense stakeholder environments demonstrated preferably within a start-up organisation
- Stakeholder Management: Developed and proven stakeholder management taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests
- Organisation: Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Communicating and Influencing: Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work with a wide range of external and internal customers and stakeholders from different countries and cultures
- Adaptable and flexible: Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment. Flexibility to work outside of standard working hours which may include evenings and weekends as and when required. Able to proactively manage your own wellbeing and the challenges of remote working
- Program facilitation: Can engage and focus a room to gain buy-in and consensus on various subjects while keeping program on time and ensure participants stay engaged and supported
What the job involves
- Support our facilitators, speakers, mentors and coaches according to the stage of delivery and the needs of the clients. This may include but isn't limited to support calls, advice and guidance on program planning, delivering briefings and training
- Support the company, where required, by representing Foundervine at events and meetings, and by advocating for the growth and development of the organisation’s portfolio of programs
- Setup and deliver Foundervine programs, projects and specific events as part of the wider Programs and Community team. This role will predominantly manage start-up and scale-up accelerator programs across the UK and with some exposure to West Africa
- Resolve program support requests on a day-to-day basis and ensure where necessary all major concerns or issues are escalated to the Head of Programs
- Engaging participants and supporting them throughout program delivery and beyond
- Develop, manage, and monitor a detailed project schedule and work plan using various digital tools and resources
- Work in partnership with the Marketing and Communications team to market programs effectively and communicate brand value
- Ensure the successful end-to-end setup and delivery of all programs by working specifically within the PMO guidelines, which includes all administrative work and appropriate management of all documentation and asset
- Lead on all communications with program partners and nurture excellent relationships with external partners, sponsors and key stakeholders during programs. Including regular updates, communications and troubleshooting issues as required
- Ensure appropriate setup and management of KPIs, targets and data and evaluation frameworks
- Work cross collaboratively on the creation of new programs in partnership with local government, higher education and corporates, supporting the team to meet agreed targets, and reporting on progress to both internal and external stakeholders
- Work in partnership with the Operations team to develop clear processes and workflows for a specific program
- Identify new opportunities to grow the business with existing and new clients whilst operating as the point of contact for assigned stakeholders

Many entrepreneurs do not have the chance to scale their businesses because of a lack of access to funding, experience and mentorship, much of which can be further exacerbated by the barriers disadvantaged communities face. Foundervine is a social enterprise that aims to support entrepreneurs from underserved communities to develop their skills and scale their start-ups.
With an estimated 5% of SME's in Britain being led by someone from a Black or minority ethnic background, Foundervine partners with the local government, universities and corporates to create comprehensive start-up accelerators that help BAME entrepreneurs develop their businesses.
So far it has helped over 2,000 aspiring entrepreneurs to develop their entrepreneurial ventures since its launch in 2018. Its aim is to continue developing its range of programmes to further enhance the support it offers and ensure that opportunity within the start-up world is truly democratised.
