Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in B2B sales in the AI, ML, or data science communities in the US. (ideally in developer tools, open-source, or AI/ML platforms)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota in complex, technical sales environments
- Strong understanding of machine learning, AI, or software development workflows (you don’t need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable speaking with them)
- Experience selling to technical buyers (e.g. ML engineers, data scientists, CTOs, DevOps)
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into business value
- A consultative sales approach—focused on understanding customer needs and delivering tailored solutions
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to operate independently in a rapidly evolving startup environment
Desirable
- Prior experience selling open-source products
- Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Gong, Slack, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
- Hands-on experience with APIs, Git, or command-line tools
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools
What the job involves
- As we accelerate our monetization strategy, we're looking for our first Account Executive to join our team in the US and help drive revenue growth by selling our Hub solutions and related enterprise services
- This is a unique opportunity to be one of the first sales leaders in the US, shaping the future of AI while working with cutting-edge companies building the next generation of AI applications
- Own the full sales cycle—from prospecting to close—for new and existing customers across the US
- Drive revenue growth by selling Hugging Face’s Hub offerings, including enterprise access, private spaces, team plans, and professional services
- Build trusted advisor relationships with technical and business stakeholders at high-growth startups, scale-ups, and enterprises
- Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and engineering teams to shape go-to-market strategies and align customer needs with product development
- Identify and act on market trends, customer feedback, and data insights to optimize sales strategies and improve conversion
- Partner with Developer Relations and Customer Success to ensure seamless onboarding and long-term customer satisfaction
- Represent Hugging Face at industry events, webinars, and customer meetings to expand brand presence and pipeline
Our take
Large language models, which recognize and generate text, are already being used to auto-complete sentences, power chat bots, moderate content, summarize news articles, and translate text online. However, many of these advances are happening behind closed doors, stifling innovation and raising ethicacy concerns.
To combat this, Hugging Face is building the "GitHub of machine learning". It’s a community-driven platform with a ton of repositories, where developers can create, discover and collaborate on ML models, datasets and ML apps. This work led to the creation of BLOOM in 2022, an open-access LLM with similar architecture to OpenAI’s GPT, but that is multilingual by design.
The company also launched the Hugging Chat Assistant, an open-source tool to create personalised chat assistants, in direct competition to OpenAI's paid service ChatGPT Plus. By continually creating value based on a global community, not just for Microsoft or Google, HuggingFace should be able to carve out its own path for success.
