3+ years of experience building and/or managing API-first products
Hands-on experience with airline distribution solutions, either as a consumer or supplier
Hands-on experience with PSS systems, either as a consumer or supplier
Knowledge of New Distribution Capability (NDC) and ONE Order standards
Experience with product lifecycle methodologies from idea to launch
Highly organized and detail-oriented with exceptional decision-making skills
Ability to provide clear direction and effective communication to both technical and non-technical audiences
Experience working with Agile methodologies is a plus
Experience working with software development tools like JIRA and Confluence
Expertise in cross-product collaboration and managing inter-team dependencies

What the job involves

We are looking for a thought leader to drive the roadmap of FLYR’s Offer Engine that sits at the core of the Offer & Orders platform. The Offer Engine encompasses, offer creation orchestration, taxation and offer optimization (incl personalization)
As a Technical Product Owner, you would work with FLYR leadership, product managers, individual product owners and airline experts to define the scope and capabilities of the Offer Engine
The aim is to support airlines in the transition from legacy distribution and PSS systems to Offer & Order while ensuring that airlines reap the benefit of product flexibility and existing revenue management science. You will work with one of Offer dedicated engineering team to bring these new capabilities to life
Work with our offer & order teams to align on shopping and reshopping flows
Work with our airline customers on how to best implement the various booking and servicing scenarios
Integrate with the adjacent OOMS modules: product catalogue, pricing engine, order management
Define product specifications and detailed use cases
Develop and execute a product roadmap to deliver continuous upgrades and value
Continuously refine and maintain the product backlog with cross-functional product teams, ensuring all items are well-defined, estimated, and prioritized
Facilitate regular product demos, highlighting critical features to stakeholders to showcase progress and gather feedback

The airline industry generates hundreds of thousands of dollars each year, yet many airlines have traditionally relied on basic methods to decide ticket prices. FLYR changes this by using advanced AI to help airlines predicts demand and set smarter prices. Its platform analyses a wide range of data like bookings, search behaviour, available seats, weather, and promotions, to help airlines earn more from each flight.

After proving it could increase airline revenue by more than 5%, FLYR expanded its product to support the needs of larger and more complex airline customers. Major carriers such as JetBlue, Azul, and Virgin Atlantic now use FLYR's technology, with Virgin Atlantic reporting double-digit gains in revenue from seat selection and add-on services.

FLYR has also been growing beyond airlines. Through acquisitions like Pace Revenue, it has brought its pricing technology into hotels and other parts of the travel industry. Backed by significant funding raised in 2024, the company is positioning itself as a central technology provider for how travel companies price, sell, and manage their products.
