Who you are

You have some experience in finance, planning & analysis, or operations support role
You have strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail
You have some basic knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting
You are proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and ability to work with large datasets
You ideally have an understanding of financial reporting tools (Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or similar) - but not mandatory
You have strong communication skills, with the ability to present data insights clearly

What the job involves

We’re looking for an Operations Specialist to support our UK ride-hailing operations
As an Operations Specialist (Planning & Analysis), you will play a key role in supporting the Planning & Analysis (P&A) team within the Operations department
Your work will be focused on assisting with financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and strategic planning, helping to ensure accuracy in budgets, risk assessments, and operational planning
You will collaborate with key stakeholders across different teams, providing data-driven insights to improve decision-making
Financial Planning & Budgeting Support : Assist in budget planning and financial forecasting for UK operations, ensuring accuracy
Operational & Financial Analysis : Maintain financial models and dashboards, working closely with finance teams to track KPIs. Support the development of risk-adjusted P&Ls, including VAT and worker status cost analyses
Strategic Planning & Reporting Assistance : Collaborate with Senior Operations Specialist to uncover market trends, analyse competitor strategies, and provide data-driven insights that shape business decisions
Cross-Team Collaboration & Support : Partner with Finance, Growth Analytics, and Rides teams to align UK financial processes with global strategies and drive operational efficiency
Process Improvement & Automation : Support the automation of financial reporting and forecasting tools, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

Their strategy is to focus on markets where Uber used to have a monopoly and then they come in with a better offering for drivers
