Role
Who you are
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in field, event, or regional marketing within the B2B SaaS space, with a strong focus on the EMEA market
- Experience in the database or data analytics industries is highly desirable
- Demonstrated success in driving pipeline generation and increasing brand awareness through field marketing efforts
- Excellent project management skills, with experience in organising and executing events at both small and large scales
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing programs
- Experience working closely with sales teams to ensure alignment on objectives, messaging, and campaign execution
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
- Comfortable with ambiguity and adapting to evolving business needs
- Experience with collaborating with global marketing teams, and has interests in building and improving on new and existing programs
What the job involves
- In this role, your mission will be to accelerate the impact of our sales team with field marketing tactics
- Day-to-day activities center around high-quality execution of events with comprehensive end-to-end campaigns, identifying event trends for ClickHouse’s enterprise audience, and running campaign analysis to optimise our field strategy continuously
- Travel required >40% of the time
- Collaborate closely with sales, demand generation, product marketing, and developer advocacy teams to design and execute integrated field campaigns that support both immediate and long-term business objectives for ClickHouse
- Translate demand generation strategies into impactful events and experiences by working with cross-functional teams to develop content and promotional strategies that drive high attendance and engagement
- Work with external partners and third-party organisations to co-host events, webinars, and joint marketing initiatives, helping to expand ClickHouse's reach and strengthen its market presence
- Manage the entire event lifecycle, including contracts, planning, logistics, and on-the-ground execution, for various events, such as trade shows, conferences, hosted events, and webinars
- Develop and implement comprehensive event campaigns, covering audience segmentation, promotional tactics, and follow-up strategies to ensure consistent lead generation and audience engagement
- Track and analyse the performance of field marketing campaigns and events, using data insights to refine strategies and deliver measurable results.Maintain a detailed event calendar and identify new opportunities that align with ClickHouse’s marketing goals and priorities
- Coordinate all event logistics, ensuring the smooth delivery of materials, booth properties, graphics, promotional items, and equipment throughout transportation and setup.
- Provide internal teams with clear guidance on event responsibilities and task assignments, ensuring alignment with company goals and effective collaboration across departments
Our take
Database management systems have long been important to the operations of businesses. However, these systems can be painfully slow. ClickHouse solves this problem with its ultra-fast database management system, that powers real-time analytics and apps.
ClickHouse's founding team hail from companies including Yahoo!, Netflix, Salesforce and Google. This has not only lent the company an impressive amount of credibility, but has also allowed it to identify the needs and challenges of enterprises when it comes to their databases. Its system works between 100 and 1,000 times faster than traditional options, and has led to the company being trusted by the likes of eBay, Uber and Spotify.
Valued at $1 billion back in 2021, it is clear that ClickHouse holds a strong position in the market, though it does face competition from rivals such as StarTree and Imply. It has seen substantial funding, the most recent of which is cited to help expand its product and engineering teams. In 2022, the company also launched ClickHouse Cloud - a fully managed, SOC 2 Type 2-compliant cloud-hosted version of its database that is now available in the AWS Marketplace.
