Role
Who you are
- We're seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our globally distributed team
- Prior experience with containerized infrastructure and Kubernetes is highly valued
- You have 2+ years of programming experience and are proficient in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Go, Shell Script
- You have in-depth knowledge of containerization technology and orchestration, such as Docker and Kubernetes
- You have experience administering and deploying new cloud resources in AWS, GCP using IaC
- You have familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)
- You are able to work autonomously with limited guidance
- You have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and are able to adapt quickly to new challenges and technologies
What the job involves
- You'll enhance Clover’s technology infrastructure by refining processes, developing automation tools, and resolving issues
- In this role, you'll collaborate with technical leads, data scientists, and technology experts to maintain a scalable platform supporting diverse domestic and international workloads
- Design, build, and maintain systems for declarative application and infrastructure lifecycle management, including continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD), Kubernetes cluster management, and service/workload inventory
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployments using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools and deployment patterns
- Improve deployment processes by automating delivery pipelines, database migrations, and operational tasks
- Prioritize and troubleshoot system issues, alerts, and downtime with a focus on stability and rapid incident response
- Implement monitoring and observability solutions to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
- Foster a healthy, collaborative, and high-performing engineering culture by working across teams to build reliable, scalable systems
- Continuously assess and improve the infrastructure to support secure, highly available, and resilient environments
- You successfully navigate a fluid and collaborative environment and take ownership of priorities that further our larger goals
- You bring clarity to ambiguity and deliver solutions that positively impact our infrastructure and customers

Clover Health is a medical insurance company operating as a Preferred Provider Orgaization for Medicare Advantage, the Medicare plan for elderly American citizens. It aims to reduce the doctor-insurer friction to increase visibility into the health of patients.
