What the job involves
- As the Manager of the Strategic Solutions Engineering Team, you will help coach and mentor our world-class team of SE's to support our Sales Team to meet and exceed our revenue targets
- You will support your team to execute winning strategies to position Amplitude’s value in the hearts and minds of our prospects
- This is a “hands on” role
- Ideal candidates must be ready to perform demonstrations to executives, drive urgency to secure the technical win and build relationships with technical stakeholders
- They must “lead from the front”
- To be successful in this role, you must be directly involved in opportunity strategy and execution
- Prioritize creating great relationships both internally and with our customers
- Lead from the front. Own the success of the opportunities in your region. You will be expected to remove barriers to achieving the technical win and own the performance of the team
- Help us meet or exceed our revenue targets
- Coach and develop a team of high performance Solutions Engineers
- Be an excellent recruiter
- Articulate a deep understanding of Amplitude technology to prospect and customer audiences, from the C-suite to Dept Heads to Engineering, removing obstacles and delivering differentiated technical and business value propositions and proof points to customers
- Travel to customer on-sites to support demos and presentations to build strong customer relationships
Our take
Amplitude provides product analytics to help companies understand user behaviour. Product, marketing, and growth teams use Amplitude to discover and share insights about user engagement, retention, and revenue.
Amplitude’s user flows reveal which actions are the most commonly taken after users sign up, and which usually precede purchases made in-app, creating paths through the app. The behaviour of individual app users can be viewed with unlimited real-time activity feeds and user timelines.
Thousands of companies use Amplitude analytics including Microsoft, Under Armour, Intuit, Twitter, Bonobos, Peloton, and many more. In 2024, a securities fraud case was filed against Amplitude due to an IPO and stock share rise that was alleged to be artificially inflated before their downturn in 2022. Whilst this case is ongoing, Amplitude is still releasing new products and operating at full capacity.
