Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
- At least 1-2 years of license filing and regulatory reporting experience
- At least 1-2 years of insurance compliance related experience
- Experience with the review and interpretation of insurance policy forms and plan documents
- General knowledge of insurance contract fulfillment and insurance policy structure
- Demonstrated ability to meet company and department timelines
- Demonstrated strong PC skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
- Passionate about compliance and product growth
- Willingness to learn and ability to take guidance for continuous growth
- Detail oriented with a focus on efficiency and accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, self-starter and highly motivated
- Strong oral and written communication skills for contact with internal and external stakeholders
- Organizational and project management experience
What the job involves
- Perform cross-functional compliance initiatives including compliance risk assessments
- Communicate regulatory requirements to internal clients
- Partner with business stakeholders to develop, implement, and maintain written compliance policies and procedures
- Draft, implement, and train on policies and procedures owned by compliance
- Assist with regulatory compliance issues including the identification, tracking, assessment, and execution of mitigating action plans
- Assist with the complaints process, including but not limited to, tracking, investigation and response, and reporting internally and externally
- Respond to ad-hoc compliance requests from various internal and external partners, including the creation of action plans in response to regulatory changes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various business teams including sales, support, service, business development, IT, and finance
- Implement compliance training for the business
- Review, analyze, and interpret laws and regulations
- Assist with internal network including credentialing and re-credentialing laws and regulations
- Assist with third party due diligence reviews
- Assist the Privacy Officer with implementation of state and federal privacy laws
- Other duties as assigned
