What the job involves
- As the primary market researcher and outbound campaign manager, this position is the engine of BeZero’s commercial team and plays a critical role in driving the growth of the BeZero Carbon Markets platform and API
- The position will be a key point of contact for the commercial managers and occasionally senior leadership
- Conducting market research on prospective business opportunities
- Managing and supporting outreach sales campaigns
- Supporting the exploration and development of new business opportunities
- Managing BeZero’s CRM platform
- Understanding the voluntary carbon market and the needs of its various stakeholders

Our take
In recent years, a growing global focus on achieving net-zero carbon emissions has caused a boom in the so-called 'voluntary carbon market'. Broadly, this is where private investors, governments, non-governmental organizations and businesses voluntarily purchase carbon offsets with a view to reducing their overall emissions. Founded in 2020, BeZero's aim is to scale one of the leading climate solutions so that the allocation of capital ends up in the projects that deliver the highest quality climate action.
The company provides data and analytics systems that help participants in the market understand voluntary carbon credits and thereby help them make better decisions as a result. BeZero takes a research-first mindset, fusing traditional capital markets research practices with expertise in environmental sciences and technology.
In terms of timing, it is difficult to think of a better time in which BeZero could have entered the market. Developments such as the carbon goals set out at COP26 show that the world is really looking for innovative climate solutions. If BeZero can help the voluntary carbon market to be one of these, and with expectations that the market could grow anywhere between $30bn to $100bn in the next 10 years, the company could be well set to secure its own growth and help the environment at the same time.
