What the job involves

  • Ramp is looking for a Technical Partnerships Manager to help identify, build and maintain strategic partnerships with technology providers, integration partners, and key industry players
  • You’ll work closely with our product, engineering, and sales teams to develop collaborative solutions and influence roadmaps that enhance our Finance platform, create seamless experiences for our customers, and drive mutual business success
  • This role is ideal for someone with technical expertise and a passion for the fintech space
  • It requires strategic thinking and excellent communication skills to drive partnerships, shape integrations, and bridge the gap between BD and engineering teams to create solutions that deliver measurable value
  • We're looking for someone who is excellent at building relationships, works at a fast pace, is hyper-organized at managing complex projects, and is skilled at getting cross-functional teams to work toward a unified and measurable goal
  • In this role, you will identify, onboard, and grow partners who integrate with Ramp's API ecosystem, ensuring seamless collaboration between external developers and internal teams. You will also oversee high-visibility strategic partnerships, including Big Techs, and work on initiatives that help drive product adoption, enhance our value proposition, and accelerate business growth in a competitive market
  • The technical partnerships you develop will be critical to Ramp's product differentiation strategy and will directly impact our customers' ability to maximize efficiency in their financial operations
  • Identify, assess, and onboard partners to integrate with Ramp via our Developer API, leveraging your technical expertise to evaluate partnership opportunities
  • Build and manage relationships with critical Ramp partners, including Big Tech companies like Apple, ensuring we're strategically mapped to key contacts at major partners
  • Act as a technical liaison between business development and engineering teams, guiding BD on technical feasibility while ensuring successful integration execution
  • Define and execute go-to-market plans for new integrations, collaborating with product, marketing, and sales teams to drive adoption
  • Grow existing strategic partnerships by expanding joint collaboration, driving product innovation, and maximizing mutual benefits
  • Lead partner-driven initiatives that increase customer engagement, product adoption, and business impact while ensuring Ramp delivers best-in-class user experiences
  • Work cross-functionally to align teams around a unified vision for key partnerships and deliver measurable results
  • Ensure Ramp delivers a best-in-class user experience rooted in partner commitments

Our take

Ramp provides companies with a dual offering of corporate cards and a spending management dashboard. The dashboard allows companies to oversee their costs, automate manual accounting practices, reimburse out-of-pocket spending, and earn cashback on financial outlays.

Founded in 2019 and coming out of stealth in 2020, the company has already reached a valuation of a whopping $8.1 billion in early 2022. Its clients include several big-name companies including fast-growth health tech startup Ro, Planned Parenthood, and Truebill. 90% of its customers have made the switch from legacy players such as Expensify and Concur, showing that Ramp provides real customer value.

The team that built Ramp is the same one that launched the automated price tracking company Paribus before selling it to Capital One. It is now focused on scoping out more M&A opportunities and boosting its headcount to support investing in its software and going into new verticals.
