Role
Who you are
- 4+ years in a data engineering role
- Prior experience with writing and debugging data pipelines using a distributed data framework (Hadoop/Spark/Pig/Apache Beam etc…)
- Knowledge of a scientific computing language (such as R, Python, or Scala) and SQL
- Experience modelling data warehouses
- Excellent spoken and written English skills
What the job involves
- Develop data pipelines and ETL workflows with technologies of your choosing
- Build and maintain our data warehouse
- Work with engineers to capture and model data
- Setup reports and dashboards to improve company productivity
- Ensure every product is released with a data-driven approach
- This position is for a full-time employment
Application process
- Intro Call [30min]: the process begins with a call with our CEO, Simon, who will introduce you to Evy and our vision. This is a chance to learn more about each other. You get to ask anything you want, and we get a better sense of your motivations
- Live Technical Interview [~2 hours]: this interview consists of 3 parts: 30min Culture Fit / Background , 45min System Design Question, 45min Live Coding Interview
- Call with our CPO [30min]: our CPO, Tanguy, will walk you through the product roadmap, how the product and engineering teams work together at Evy, as well as answer any of your product related questions

Evy's product takes several forms. For merchants, they're building an API-first solution that lets them offer product insurance to their customers, as well as a dashboard to monitor key metrics. For customers, they're designing a simple and fast claims experience.
Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, and other large retailers, are big competitors. Historically, these value-added services could be hard to provide, so only large retailers could offer them. Now, companies such as Evy, Affirm, Route and Extend are unlocking value-add services for every retailer and their end customers.
