Who you are

3+ years of experience in managing engineering teams
Strong experience in React.js development, tools and libraries
Good knowledge of browsers and web APIs
Good knowledge of React Native is appreciated
Experience in CI/CD and development of build and deployment pipelines is a plus
Knowledge of UI/UX practices in software development
Team player mindset with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Enthusiasm for hiring new talents, and developing and growing people
Willingness to develop skills in the Web3.0 industry

To support our continued growth, we’re hiring an Engineering Manager to join the Wallet Experience business unit. You’ll work directly with the Engineering Director and lead a high-performing team to deliver core features across our top-rated native applications. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll shape the product experience millions of users rely on every day

Your mission
Management
Lead your team and meet regularly with your direct reports to provide frequent feedback on their work
Drive recruitments, performance assessments, trainings and career development for your team
Help individuals set goals and improve their practices, to ensure employee growth and meet retention goals
Tech
Drive projects from end-to-end, implementing best-in-class engineering practices
Participate in the sprint delivery, monitor Tech' metrics, and be accountable for the quality of deliverables
Consistently come up with innovative solutions and encourage innovative thinking from others
Delivery
Collaborate closely with Delivery Managers, Product Owners and Designers to assess feasibility, provide technical recommendations, and help estimating and planning
Delegate effectively, ensuring tasks are completed as specified without micromanaging
Communicate clearly on expectations and ensure practices are followed to meet Ledger’s quality bar
Leadership & Communication
Embrace a positive “can do” attitude, and be a model for others
Be proactive in your communication and be a well identified link with other teams
Track progresses / risks / issues and communicate them to the appropriate stakeholders

Our take

Ledger has grown into one of the world’s largest hardware wallets for digital assets since its 2014 inception, with well over 6 millions of devices sold across the globe. By offering physical devices to store private keys, customers are able to secure their digital assets offline.

The company is attempting to support the continued growth of the crypto eco-system by offering cryptocurrency owners an alternative to storing their assets on an online exchange. There, a simple password breach could cause untold damage.

Ledger’s hardware solution has proven popular with investors, seeing them receive huge funding from 10T Holdings, Cathay Innovation, and Draper Associates to name just a few.

Keen to move on and ensure against any recurrence, Ledger has since secured even more investment, and formed astute partnerships with other big names in the Crypto world, including an integration with Coinbase.
