Who you are

- Comfortable working across systems and tools (e.g., HR platforms, Confluence/Jira, spreadsheets, documentation tools)
- Ability to manage multiple streams of work and adjust priorities as needed
- A people-first mindset with an eye for process and structure
What the job involves
- We’re a growing startup operating in a regulated space, where speed and structure need to work together. We’re looking for someone to help keep the company running smoothly behind the scenes: maintaining quality systems, supporting internal processes, and making sure our people have what they need to do their best work
- This is a highly varied and impactful role that involves compliance, HR coordination, internal comms, and day-to-day operations. You don’t need to be an expert in everything, but you should be someone who thrives on getting things done and keeping things moving
- Supporting the maintenance of our ISO13485-compliant Quality Management System (QMS)
- Keeping internal policies, documentation, and systems up to date
- Supporting internal and external quality audits
- Managing core people processes including onboarding/offboarding, maintaining HR records and documentation, posting recruitment adverts, and supporting the hiring process
- Coordinating onboarding and offboarding processes for new and departing employees
- Overseeing internal operations: supplier relationships, office needs, day to day ops
- Supporting environmental and sustainability initiatives
- Coordinating team events and contributing to a positive workplace culture

Our take
Acurable produces the first wearable medical device able to accurately diagnose and manage respiratory conditions at home. Its wearable devices are clinically-proven and boast an accuracy five times greater than alternatives. Small in size and efficiency, its sensors are easy-to-use and, crucially, able to reduce the need for a specialist in the process of diagnosing conditions.
Acurable is responding to two major market trends. Firstly, the market for self-managed health has boomed in recent years. Consumers are already using devices such as Fitbits to track their exercise and sleep, and Acurable is betting on people taking similar interest in their medical health. Secondly, one of healthcare's most pressing challenges is the cost of using specialists to diagnose patients. If Acurable can move diagnosis away from doctors and into homes, they can free up valuable medical practitioners for the real problems that demand their expertise - boosting the company and the healthcare system.
If Acurable can continue the fast growth it has seen so far, it could revolutionise how we diagnose respiratory conditions. Backed by major investors and now a part of the Microsoft ScaleUp programme, it has the potential to really make us think about how diagnosis works in the modern age.
