Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of Cloud Platform / Infrastructure experience, ideally working with GCP (Google Cloud Platform), but AWS (Amazon Web Services)
- Track record of deploying, maintaining and securing cloud infrastructure
- Experience using Terraform to deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure
- Experience working with and maintaining large PostgreSQL databases
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field or experience
- Experience in financial technology, with crypto and / or traditional financial know-how a strong plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An energetic, creative, and autonomous self-starter
What the job involves
- As an engineer at Talos, you’ll work with the team to develop Talos’s backend trading and settlement platform
- Our platform is built from scratch to handle the unique challenges of the digital assets market
- Responsibilities include deploying and maintaining the infrastructure for our high-performance, low-latency platform
- We look for engineers that can take ownership of the full development lifecycle
- The core team is made up of engineers that know building great systems takes time, and we spend the time on non-functional requirements like safety, security and performance
- Design, implement, test and deploy infrastructure for high performance backend systems and services, including market data connectivity, algorithmic execution, trade analytics, and more
- Improve the scalability, reliability, security, and performance of the Talos infrastructure
- Work with the product team and our clients to deliver solutions that support the full trade lifecycle
- Contribute to an open and transparent culture as we grow the team

So far, the increasing institutional interest in the value of crypto-assets has been stymied by a lack of scaled, efficient, and secure infrastructure that these institutions could use for trade. Talos addresses the problem of digital asset trading between institutions, helping them to securely sidestep these obstacles into a fresh market with potentially huge returns.
The company provides a range of end-to-end, highly configurable tools to populate and facilitate the institutional crypto-asset market from just one platform. Talos' approach is helping to lower the bar for wide-ranging adoption of cryptocurrency, supporting the full lifespan of digital assets trading. Promising for Talos was the interest of prominent investors, including PayPal and Fidelity, during their Series A and B funding rounds.
