Who you are

You’re detail‑driven, organised, and proactive in managing your own workload
You’re comfortable working independently, prioritising to meet deadlines, and confidently escalating issues when needed
With strong problem‑solving skills and a go‑getter attitude, you take a practical approach to driving outcomes
Previous experience in a similar credit control or finance role
AAT qualified or working towards (preferred)
5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English
Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Experience with accounting systems - Sage Intacct is a bonus

What the job involves

As a Credit Controller, you will play a key role in protecting Grayce’s cash flow by managing the end-to-end credit control process
You’ll take ownership of invoicing, debt collection, reconciliations, and stakeholder communication, ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and accurately
Maintaining accurate customer accounts
Proactively following up on outstanding invoices and resolving customer queries
Reducing debtor days and supporting cashflow forecasting
Allocating customer payments with accuracy
Reconciling accounts and investigating discrepancies
Supporting month-end close
Preparing weekly and monthly aged debt reports
Highlighting high-risk accounts and recommending actions
Supporting audit requirements related to receivables and revenue
Working in close collaboration with Sales, Operations and Finance
Supporting the setup of new customers and credit checks
Developing and maintaining professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Supporting wider finance operations as required
Providing cover for accounts payable and expense processing
Assisting with finance process improvements and supporting finance projects
