Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with at least 10 years’ experience in Information Security roles within technology led organizations; or Master’s degree in a related field, with 8 years’ experience in Information Security roles within technology led organizations
- 5 years’ experience of implementing and/or operating public cloud security architectures (AWS preferred)
- Knowledge of common Information Security Management frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001
- Demonstrated experience in operating controls within the HITRUST CSF
- Experience with HIPAA, SOC2, PCI DSS, NIST CSF, and/or ISO
- CISSP / CISM (or related certifications) are desirable in this role
- Cloud Security certification is desirable (AWS / GCP / Azure)
What the job involves
- The Head of Security Engineering will be responsible for maturing a cyber-resilient security architecture in partnership with all teams across Devoted Health
- This role will lead and represent Devoted Cybersecurity within multiple engineering engagements, define and deliver strategy within the Cybersecurity Program as set out by the CISO, and operate as an advocate to encourage a widespread security awareness
- This is a hands-on practitioner role demanding subject-matter expertise across a number of domains
- The role will require proven experience in cloud security implementation, IAM processes, achieving and maintaining HITRUST CSF certification within an engineering environment; as well as developing secure automated solutions through close partnership with infrastructure platform teams and product development organizations
- The Head of Security Engineering will be responsible for safeguarding Devoted´s information assets by ensuring that our cloud infrastructure is secure and well-documented, investigating security incidents for opportunities to improve, developing new security capabilities; and working with other members of the Cybersecurity team to ensure that Devoted continues to follow best practices
- The role will report to Devoted Health´s CISO, and will have no more than 3 direct reports
- Lead and support the organization’s approaches to Application and Cloud Security, Enterprise Security and Identity & Access management
- Support our Security Incident Response process taking on-call rotation as required and ensuring we meet our response time SLAs in a compliant manner
- Provide support for security assessment within the corporate procurement process
- Contribute to defining and then lead an effective Identity & Access Management program working closely with key stakeholders in Enterprise IT, Orinoco product development, HR & Infrastructure
- Partner closely with Engineering, Enterprise Technology, Finance, Privacy, and Human Resources teams to drive increasing levels of cybersecurity maturity
- Identify and manage IT risks throughout the development and business lifecycle
- Collaborate on internal and external audits, supporting both external (and internal) assessors and our teams
- Support the secure configuration of our email and Google Workspace environment for 2000+ employees in partnership with Enterprise IT & Support teams
- Promote and reinforce a strong security culture in support of Devoted’s mission
