Role
Who you are
- If you're a dynamic engineer with a blend of technical skills, a deep systems mindset, and an affinity for creating products that drive business success, this role will allow you to own impactful projects from start to finish
- Have 5+ years of experience working as a FE/UI engineer and some backend with a proven track record of shipping code
- Are proficient in advanced React/Next.js frameworks and CSS patterns
- Have a deep, foundational understanding of Javascript and/or Typescript
- Have experience with testing frameworks (e.g. Jest, Mocha, Playwright, Cypress)
- Treat web accessibility as a top priority
- Have experience working with a fast paced, highly collaborative, and cross-functional team
- Are comfortable working in an agile, safe-to-fail, environment

- We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Frontend Engineer to join our SP (Service Provider) Success team

- You'll work on critical engineering projects that touch Webflow Marketplace, ensuring our partners' success and helping them unlock new opportunities for growth

- Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager
- Build performant, accessible, and scalable user interfaces using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js, Jest, Storybook, and Webflow’s Spring design system
- Own features end to end from design handoff through implementation, launch, and iteration
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers, and work in backend code when needed to deliver full-stack solutions
- Partner with designers and product managers to translate complex requirements into intuitive user experiences
- Improve frontend architecture and introduce best practices around accessibility, performance, and maintainability
- Lead by example through high-quality code, thoughtful reviews, and mentoring other engineers
- Troubleshoot production issues with urgency, clarity, and a focus on delivering reliable experiences
Our take
No-code development systems allow users to create and publish the kind of output that was once only possible with the help of a team of developers. Webflow is one such platform that allows non-developers to create professional websites without knowing any code. It joins others such as Pantheon, Weebly, Squarespace, and Wix in a hotly-contested low-code development market. While competition is high, so too is demand, with low-code platforms accounting for more than 65% of application development activity in 2024.
The popularity of platforms such as Webflow is perhaps not surprising, as low-code development is usually cheaper for companies to implement and reduces time to market. Webflow has been used by over 3.5 million designers and teams to create sites for companies including enterprise brands such as Dell, Rakuten, UpWork, and Petal. It raised a large amount of funding in a Series C round in 2022. This is being used to further develop its platform, with a longer-term goal of pivoting to providing a no-code tool not only for websites, but software development as well.
