Who you are

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or other related field
Strong computer science fundamentals and ability to write clear code

Rockstar is on the lookout for a passionate DevOps/Systems Engineer who has a strong understanding of Windows systems and an inclination to automate repetitive tasks and develop tooling
The Rockstar Games Online Services Team is a passionate development group, focused on growing and maintaining the technology platform that powers Rockstar’s online titles and our ability to deliver world-class player experiences
We work closely with developers, DBAs, Build Engineers, and Security teams to provide operational support for critical services that enable connected experiences found across our game franchises
We build world-class infrastructure for our high traffic, high visibility web sites and services
We constantly review our processes, automate wherever possible, and develop our own toolchains
Automate workflows and contribute to our codebase in Powershell, C#, Python, and Go
Build using Github, infrastructure as code (Terraform), and configuration management (DSC/Chef)
Build and maintain Windows servers in a highly available, public facing environment
Maintain and support .NET/ASP.NET web sites and services
Build and support SQL Server failover clusters
Manage VMware clusters, storage systems, and monitoring systems
Perform root cause analysis through multiple infrastructure layers

Our take

Founded by brothers Dan and Sam Houser, Rockstar Games is a multinational video game developer and production house behind the hit series’ Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption. Formed as part of an acquisition of British video game company BMG Ventures by Take Two Interactive in 1998, Rockstar Games became the name of the parent company’s publishing label.

Rockstar has gone from hit to hit, Grand Theft Auto 5 remaining the second best-selling video game of all time and maintaining more than 20 million online players since its launch in 2013. Red Dead Redemption 2 has also had an impressive run, having sold over 70 million copies worldwide.

Online content is regularly released for both titles, whilst video game players eagerly await the release of Grand Theft Auto 6 in November 2026. It's projected that GTA 6 will make billions in its first year of launch alone, exemplifying Rockstar’s status as one of the most successful video game publishers of all time.
