Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Communications, or related field
- 7+ years in senior executive leadership, Chief of Staff, strategy consulting, or corporate development - ideally in fintech, digital assets, technology, wealth management, or legal sectors
- Deep expertise in financial statements, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and global legal frameworks, with strong familiarity in blockchain, cryptocurrency products, and evolving international regulations
- Proven track record of advising and collaborating with C-level executives, investors, regulators, and legal advisors on high-impact initiatives
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage shifting priorities under pressure, paired with high emotional intelligence and a proactive, solutions-driven mindset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and project management tools, with flexibility for occasional international travel and extended hours as required
What the job involves
- Act as the CEO’s senior strategic partner and trusted advisor, providing counsel, managing high-priority initiatives, and ensuring execution on company goals
- Lead research, analysis, and synthesis of complex market, regulatory, and competitive data to inform executive decision-making
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, driving cross-functional projects from conception to completion in alignment with the CEO’s vision
- Oversee the CEO’s schedule, prioritizing high-value engagements with investors, regulators, and board members, and managing all aspects of board and investor relations with precision and compliance
- Represent the CEO in key internal and external meetings, building and maintaining strong relationships with regulators, financial institutions, legal advisors, and strategic partners
- Ensure operational excellence by optimizing executive processes, producing high-quality communications and reports, and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and discretion
- Manage complex logistics, events, and travel while being responsive to critical communications and available outside regular hours when needed
- Provide timely, high-level support to stakeholders and handle sensitive personal matters for the CEO with absolute confidentiality
Our take
Cryptocurrency, once a niche internet phenomenon, is now a major part of the fiscal landscape, and digital assets make up a large part of many people’s financial portfolio. Nexo aims to make managing them that bit easier, with its digital wallet for crypto.
It sets out to give you the greatest flexibility over how you earn, save and pay. It supports 35 different cryptocurrencies, and offers the ability to buy, exchange or borrow funds, as well as daily interest payouts and the Nexo Card - a credit card that lets you spend your crypto without having to sell it.
Its platform has flexibility that offers strong user appeal, and has cemented its place in the market with over 5 million users. Its status was somewhat rocked, however, by eight US states taking legal action against it in 2022, accusing it of failing to register with the state authorities correctly. The company has now paid its fine of $22.5 million and has discontinued its Earn Interest Product, returning to the US markets in 2025.
