Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of professional career experience as a UX or product researcher
- A Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in HCI, psychology, marketing research, sociology, anthropology, or other social science subject area with an emphasis on research, or equivalent work experience
- Experience with a variety of research methods and are comfortable with both qualitative and quantitative methodology
- The ability to identify the correct methodology for the question at hand
- Experience using software vendors like Qualtrics, and can conduct statistical analyses in SPSS, R or Python
- A tuned thought process that ensures research will adequately answer questions and even challenge if the questions being asked are the right ones
- Collaborative, sharing work early and often and encouraging peers and manager or supervisor to provide for constructive feedback
- A Problem Solver who champions complete and connected user experiences
- A compelling storyteller who can articulate research findings clearly through verbal, written, and visual communication
- Motivated and curious, always expanding your skills by learning new tools and techniques
What the job involves
- You will focus on conducting generative and evaluative research to optimize the Roblox user experience across all devices Roblox can be accessed, including mobile, consoles, and VR
- You'll investigate how to deliver exceptional experiences, from graphics to controls, to inform feature development and ensure we offer a seamless experience across core user journeys and recommendations adhere to Roblox’s design system
- Ultimately, your work will feed into strategies to retain and grow Roblox’s user base, regardless of how or where they choose to play
- Deeply understand the user experiences for a diverse global audience through seamless cross-product journeys, engaging learning experiences, and delightful interactions that align with our mission
- Manage end-to-end research projects with an ability to translate abstract ideas into viable product feature recommendations
- Conduct foundational research to understand and improve the safety and security of millions of players
- Work with cross-functional (XFN) stakeholders in Design, Product, Policy, Legal, Engineering and Civility to facilitate research discussions, and give concise feedback to inform feature roadmaps and product vision
- Work in close collaboration with the XFN to evolve research processes and foster a culture of inclusion, collaboration and innovation
- Have opportunities to present your work to Product Group leadership
- Report to the Group Research Lead

In addition to standard games, the platform offers virtual worlds and other experiences to explore and interact with.
