Product Engineer, Minitap

• You have exceptional evidence of building and shipping difficult software. Show us something where your individual contribution was decisive. A product, system, open-source project, startup, research project, or ambitious side project all count.
• You can own a problem from ambiguity to production. You can investigate an unclear problem, challenge assumptions, make the technical decisions, ship a solution, observe how it behaves, and keep improving it. You do not require perfectly scoped tickets or constant direction.
• You are an unusually strong problem solver and debugger. You reason from first principles, form and test hypotheses, and keep digging until you understand the actual failure. You can work across unfamiliar layers rather than stopping at the boundary of your usual stack.
• You have excellent engineering fundamentals. You reason clearly about system design, APIs, data models, concurrency, performance, reliability, observability, security, and maintainability. You can explain your decisions and their tradeoffs without hiding behind jargon.
• You build depth quickly in new technical areas. You can enter a new codebase, system, or domain, identify what matters, and become effective quickly. You’re comfortable moving between AI agents, mobile applications, device automation, backend infrastructure, and customer environments without being limited by your existing expertise.
• You make pragmatic decisions around business outcomes You understand the goal behind the work and choose the best path given the company’s current stage, customer needs, constraints, and urgency. You know when to build properly, when to simplify, when to use an imperfect workaround, and when not to build at all. You optimize for reaching the right outcome now, not for theoretical perfection

Desirable

• Own product capabilities end-to-end. Go from an unclear customer problem to architecture, implementation, deployment, and iteration. You won’t throw work over a wall.
• Make AI agents reliable in messy environments. Improve how agents observe applications, choose actions, recover from mistakes, and determine whether a test actually passed.
• Build mobile testing infrastructure. Work around device state, flaky applications, permissions, authentication, networking, test isolation, and reproducible execution across Android and iOS.
• Debug across the entire system. Follow failures through agents, models, backend services, device infrastructure, CI pipelines, and the customer’s application.
• Shape the company. Talk directly with users, influence the roadmap, improve engineering practices, and help us identify future exceptional hires.
