Role
Who you are
- 3+ years on Market Data experience preferably gained in an analyst role
- Knowledge of the rights policies of vendors and exchanges and the implications with respect to compliance
- Vendor and exchange reporting requirements
- MDM – inventory, invoicing and reporting
- Refinitiv DACS – Permissioning and management
- Bloomberg EMRS - Permissioning and management
- Good knowledge of market data and financial services industry
- Buy side and Sell side
- Markets – the trade lifecycle, participants, trading venues and major classes of assets
- Data – sources (contributed, exchange, broker, etc.), vendors, types (market data, fundamental and economic data, historical, valuations, credit ratings, indices, news, commentary and reference data)
- Highly numerate and literate problem solver
- A pro-active, methodical approach
- Excellent attention to detail
- Creating management reports to a high presentation standards
- Good work ethic with ability to work to deadline on multiple projects
- Excellent communication skills
- Use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Data visualisation tools and PowerPoint to a high standard
What the job involves
- Be responsible for meeting commercial and data governance obligations related to licensing agreements
- Management of the Market Data Analytics team
- Market Data Incident Management and resolution
- Oversight and responsibility of quarterly engagement meetings with senior stakeholders across Group
- Leading and building relationship with external industry bodies and vendors
- Delivering multiple priorities across diverse portfolio to conflicting timescales
- Audit Management with vendors and third parties
- Technical problem solving for market data requirements
- Developing and implementing reporting standards and analytics for the business and stakeholders
- Provides insightful, high quality complex information, advice and guidance exercising control and tailored to senior stakeholder needs
- Manages the development and/or operation of significant aspects of the data management system with guidance from senior colleagues
- Develops and/or delivers a plan and outcomes for an operational area with guidance from senior colleagues
- Defines, delivers, and adapts specialized products/services to meet customer needs by selecting the best possible approaches available within established systems
- Delivers own small-scale or medium-scale projects by working within an established programme management plan
- Identifies and evaluates complex expertise-led solutions against a range of criteria to find the ones that best meet business needs
- Develops and designs content for training courses in specific functional areas to fill gaps in established programs; runs complex and/or customised training courses to improve employee performance within specific functional area
- Coordinates across multiple teams to develop medium-term and/or long-term work schedules that help the organisation achieve its priorities and fulfil its business plans
- Analyses key themes using data from a wide range of sources and identifies possible impacts on the business
- Takes responsibility for implementing a team's formal development framework
- Identifies shortcomings, then suggests and implements improvements to existing business practices, while developing and delivering projects or a work stream within the organisation's change management programme with guidance from senior colleagues
- Supports internal customers to ensure their needs are met and/or helps senior colleagues manage client relationships
- Makes a significant improvement on short-term or long-term business performance by recommending authoritative technical and/or professional solutions
