Role
Who you are
- We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Digital Ads Specialist to join our Advertising Department
- We are seeking a data-driven and methodical individual who is passionate about collaborating with people that work in sports and music
- We need you to live, eat and breathe fan data, with an endless supply of new ideas for ad experiments
- You must work well with others, have excellent communication skills and take pride in managing your own schedule and workload
- You must enjoy working with data, numbers, and statistics
- Extremely detail-oriented with a passion for precision

- Data-driven mindset: Obsessed with quantitative results and optimizing
- Experience and knowledge of paid digital advertising (social media, display, search)
- Excellent communicator with approachability and a sense of humour

- Confidence and tact when speaking to clients
- Excellent time management skills; never miss a deadline even with a full schedule
- A major team-player mentality that cares about the company’s overall success
- Keen problem solver with the flexibility to switch seamlessly between projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business preferred
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience running paid digital advertising, including managing budgets, campaigns and reporting on KPI’s
- Preferred certifications: Facebook Blueprint (Media Buyer / Planner), Google Search, Display, Video, Shopping Ads, Apps and Measurement Certifications (These are not required, but candidates will be expected to complete these while employed with Tradable Bits)
- Proficient in data analysis and/or BI tools – beyond basic Excel formulas, experience creating custom dashboards in Tableau specifically is a bonus
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in all aspects of Digital Advertising
- Advanced knowledge of third-party campaign management platforms like Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads is a plus
What the job involves
- You would be responsible for ensuring we crush every deadline, configure every ad without errors, and use our cutting-edge technology to conduct ad experiments that strategically maximize digital ad returns for our clients
- You’ll get to collaborate with some of the largest sports brands in the world, taking pride and ownership of the success of the likes of MLSE, NBA, NHL, and more
- Confidently coordinate ad campaigns for multiple clients at once; never missing a deadline and always staying ahead
- Configuring ad campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Display, Search and Spotify for our clients with impeccable precision
- Keep in constant contact with your accounts via phone, email and Slack; building relationships and helping them achieve their goals
- Develop data experiments, where you’ll test the efficacy of an audience or targeting technique with statistical validity and report on your findings
- You will push the limits of our current tech, creatively finding ways to improve the platform so we can build even better tools for our clients
- Help to train clients on how to use our Ads platform and report on their success
- Quickly master our platform and then make data-backed suggestions on how we can improve it; working with developers to scope out new features
- Keep abreast of current developments in digital advertising and advocate for them to clients
Our take
Musicians, sports teams and brands want to make closer connections with their fans, but audiences are increasingly spreading their time across an ever-growing selection of new platforms. Tradable Bits resolves this tension by providing a marketing platform that delivers first-party fan data to the entertainment industry. Its tech retains information and engages fans across whatever platforms they're using.
The marketing startup is now looking to launch products fit for the new era of mass live digital engagement. For example, their launch of a digital arena tool allows fans to interact with their teams live beyond physical stadiums, and its integration with Square will allow promoters using its platform to measure the effect of promotional campaigns with engaged fans.
Tradable Bits will have to keep innovating to compete with the other marketing platforms helping entertainment brands in the digital age. Its reputation for excellent, tailored service will stand it in good stead in this respect, as will a 2023 grant from Pacific Economic Development Canada. This influx of capital is allowing Tradable Bits to expand its marketing reach internationally, with an aim to grow into Asia-Pacific and European markets in the near term. It has also released a data reporting tool for live event organisations called Octane, which will expand its customer appeal even further.
